Adco RV Propane Tank Cover

Concerned about the pressure inside your dual propane tanks drastically increasing on a hot day? Or perhaps you're worried that the propane will freeze on a cold winter day? This heavy-duty, durable cover is UV resistant and cold-crack treated so you can protect your propane tanks during almost any weather condition. The cover will also protect your tanks from road debris, dirt, rust, and grime, so you won't have to spend too much time wiping them clean. And this sleek cover has a textured pattern that'll match the diamond plate design on your RV or trailer.

Securing the Cover onto Your Propane Tanks

The included, reinforced board insert should first be assembled. This will help keep the rigid shape of the top part of the cover. Then, making sure the zipper is oriented outwards, slip the cover down along your tanks until you can wrap the reinforced elastic hem around the bottom of them. This hem keeps the cover snug and secure on your propane tanks so it doesn't shift around or come off in the wind.

Adco RV Propane Tank Cover Zippers

And if you still need to access the tank's shutoff gas valves or the propane regulator, you can use the built-in, molded zipper to easily access your tanks without having to completely remove the cover.

AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be looking at this propane cover from ADCO. Now this is made for dual 30 pound propane tanks. So it's going to help cover that up, just protect it from the sun, people from messing with it and, really just to keep it looking nice with your rig. Sometimes some people don't want to see the propane tanks. They'd rather them just be covered up, out of sight, out of mind kind of thing.

Let's check it out. Now, if you're looking at this color and thinking it's not really your style, it does come in two other colors. You got the diamond plating, which is actually a silver reflective surface. And then you have the camo one. Now the diamond plating one is going to be made out of the heavy-duty vinyl just like this white one, but the camo one is actually made of a thermoplastic.

They're all going to hold up just fine for you.Another great thing about the cover is if you need to get in there and access your propane tanks, you have the zipper up here up front. You can quickly unzip it and get in there and adjust the valves or whatever you need to. And actually on this one, the gauge and stuff is on the other side, so we can just flip the cover around. That way we have access back here just the same, but it was easier to show you guys the zipper up front. Another upside to the cover is that if you need access to it, you don't have to take the cover fully off.

You just got the zipper up front, you can unzip it, get in there and access the valves or whatever you need to get to. So you don't have to always take off the cover when you need to access the propane tanks. I think that's a really positive thing about this cover. It's not hard to put the cover on and off, but that's just one less thing you got to do.Now you've probably seen a couple of different covers for your propane tanks up front. There are ones that are a harder plastic or polypropylene and they cover it the same way, except they can access it through the top so you can unscrew the top and reach down in there.

And that's a heavy dutier cover. It's probably going to protect better against rocks and stuff that get kicked up towards your propane tanks. But I think this soft cover does the job just fine. I think there's maybe more room in here to even access the tanks from the front. The other one seems like it had a smaller cover up top, which I guess you can still get in there. but I like having to be able to do that. You could even flip off the top section here to get to what you need to.I don't know if you all can tell or not, but it's actually pretty windy out here today. And that's why I'm pointing at the bottom that actually cinches around the bottom of the tank. So if you're worried about the wind picking up the vinyl cover and moving around or anything, you can see the wind is not really affecting it at all. It's not going to move it up and off this tank. It's actually a pretty snug fit for these dual tanks. So I'm kind of impressed with that part. The one thing I'm a little iffy on is the insert up here. It's actually got a kind of very thin board that comes with it, attaches in the middle. I'll show you it here. I guess it's two pieces of particle board connected to the middle and you put that on top so it keeps its shape. I think it's also maybe so if it rains, it doesn't pool here in the middle, because if it wasn't there, it didn't have any support, the rain could just sit on the cover. That's going to cause problems over time. So I think that's probably there to keep the rain off so it can just run off. It's not in the way or anything. It's not hard to install. It'd be nice if it was actually sewed into the top of the cover that way if you did take it off, you didn't have to worry about keeping that board separate or keeping track of that and making sure that it didn't go anywhere. So whether you have it just to cover up your propane tank, because you don't want to see them, or you actually want them protected from the sun and protect your valves and your hoses in there, keep them all nice and protect them from all the elements and the sun damage, this is going to do both those great. I think it's a good addition to your propane tank. It does make it look way nicer with them covered up, I think anyway, and I completely believe it's going to stay on there as you're traveling. You're not going to have any issues with it blowing off or just coming loose on you. So it checks all the boxes I wanted it to. I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helps.

The cover barely covers a plain 20 lb tank from Walmart. It does NOT cover the tank on a travel trailer. The tank on the travel trailer sits inside a metal fastener. It adds maybe an inch to what is needed from a cover. Totally worthless.

by:

I hope to get at least five years usage from this propane tank cover. The two piece top board is very cheap and I doubt if it will last more than two years. Obviously this two piece particleboard, even less, cardboard top surface should have at least been made from 1/4 in. plywood. My guess is that they designed it to save themselves on shipping costs and packaging size. The poly vinyl cover is pretty nice so I will wait and see how I like it. I would have purchased the solid plastic two tank cover but I did not like the bulkiness and look.

by:

Great quality dual propane cover. Will definitely buy again.

by:

Product matched the description. Seems well constructed. As with other covers I've purchased, some difficulty fitting the cover over or around the bolt used to attach the tank to the trailer. Velcro held well. Received order in a timely fashion.

by:

I Love My Tank Cover, Gives Axcess To My Tamks Without Any Problem Unzipp And Go. THANKS, AWESOME PRODUCT!

by:

Fit perfectly. Great product- would rec ommend.

by:

It does not fit a standard 20 pound propane tank. It will not rap around and velcro because it is too small. Other reviewers have stated the same. Why do they not fix this problem and make it a bit bigger? Makes no sense. Other than that the materials seem to be of good enough quality and it looks nice.

by:

This cover is actually large enough to fit my propane tank. I say this because I had ordered an Adco cover before and it was not large enough to go around a standard 20# propane tank. This one covers and the Velcro overlaps and closes. The silver exterior should keep the hot sun from cooking the tank when the trailer is closed. Hopefully it will not shrink like most of these vinyl covers do.

by:

Just recieved the cover so cant determine the durability yet. It seems well made with a heavy duty material. The one issue already identified by other reviewers is the press board insert for retaining the shape. This will clearly fall apart with just a little moisture. The manufacturer really should make this out of a plastic or some composite. I didn't even install it but used it as a pattern to cut a replacement from plywood.

by:

The cover was as described. It arrived a day early and in great packaging. The quality is the same as if I purchased it from the local RV store. I appreciate the rapid shipping and great communication on the delivery status.
I have purchased other items from various RV suppliers in the past and did not receive the same service I get from etrailer. If you are ,looking for name brand quality products for your trailer or RV then etrailer is the place to go. I recommend etrailer
to you with NO RESERVATIONS. They are a FIVE STAR company .
Thanks

Bought to cover the 2-stage regulator for our stove, but it fell short. Had to make a separate cover for the regulator to keep moisture out. This tank cover fits way too snug and had a bad seam along the top I will have to fix. Overall, I don't recommend for single tank, but the double tank cover might be a little better designed.

by:

Still performing well after one year of use. No issues, valve handles travel smoothly.

by:

This propane bottle cover does not fit our standard propane bottle very well. It seems that it is too narrow around and does not sufficiently accommodate for the hoses and gauge that are on the tank.

by:

The tank cover looks great and works great. The opening on the side at the top allows easy access to the valve, and after a year, the cover still looks new.
Was a great addition to my trailer.

by:

I like this style cover, but it's the second one I've had to buy after losing the first one while traveling down the highway. This time around I've added two loops at the bottom so I can secure it to my rack. The diamond-plate style matches the front plate of my trailer, the velcro is secure, and it keeps the propane tank clean.

by:

The cover was delivered very fast. It appears to be sturdy but can't gage durability for a while. The fit over two side by side 40lbs tanks is very good. The zippered cover could be improved if there was a dual zipper so the hose from the tank to generator could be fitted better whether using the right or left tank. In price shopping it appears the 40lbs covers run from 30's to 40's depending on material and styles, I think a modest drop in price or shipping would be appropriate.

by:

After a year we are still very happy with the dual tank propane cover. I did take out & paint the particle board insert after some warping. It works well curved shedding rain and snow and looks great!

by:

we selected a propane tank cover that looks similar to our diamond plate on the front of our TT. This is the best quality of any we have ordered. It is of heavy quality and fits our tank perfectly! And it looks good too ! Great quality and quick delivery!
