Recommended Wet Bolts for Road Armor Equalizers and Slide Out Toppers for 119 and 141 Slide Out

Question:

I have a 2021 surveyor legend 296qble with 4400 lb axles. I have been looking at upgrading the equalizer to a cushioned one. I like the lippert road armor one but my equalizer isnt as tall. My measurements are 5 3/4 long from center of hole to center of hole and 2 tall from center of the top hole to a straight line drawn from the 2 outer holes for the shackle strap bolts. Can I get longer shackle straps to make up the difference? I would also like to convert everything over to wet bolts while I have it apart so if you can recommend something that would be great. I also am looking at a slide topper, my slide out has some brackets on it that say prepped for solera slide toppers. My slide out measures 119 or 141 long from outside to outside. Do you have something that will directly bolt up to that? Thank you for any help you can give.

To answer the crux of the main question, you can use the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle - Qty 2 # LC696740 on your trailer and you'll need to use some longer shackles to make up for the additional length of the new equalizer. If you've got a 2-1/4" shackle then likely going up to something like the # TRSL313 that is 3-1/8" would suffice for you; you won't need a full 2" because the shackles will sit at an angle to connect to the springs. Since you're also wanting to upgrade to wet bolts, I recommend using the Wet Equalizer Bolt with Locknut and Grease Zerk for Double-Eye Springs - 3-5/16" Long # 126B2, which will fit with the Road Armor.

When it comes to your slide outs, you typically want your slide-out topper to extend about 3" to each side of the slide out so that it effectively keeps water and debris off. For your 119" wide slide out you'll want to use the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 10'1" Wide - 48" Projection - Black # LCV000182037 (black) or # LCV000163293 (white). For the 141" wide slide out, you'll want to use the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 12'1" Wide - 48" Projection - Black # LCV000177334 (black) or # LCV000163298 (white). These will connect to your existing brackets on your trailer.
