Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Fireside Outdoor Trailblazer with heat shield. Now this pop-up fire pit is going to let you enjoy a fire out on your driveway, at an RV park, or in a national forest. The included grill grates are going to easily turn this fire pit into a grill. And this is going to be great for camping, tailgating, to be used out in your backyard or the beach, or even at the cabin. This is also suitable for use in national forests and state parks or other land-managed areas, because it does meet the Bureau of Land Management and the United States Forest Service requirements for use in national forests, state parks, and other environmentally-sensitive areas.
These aluminum ember guards are going to help prevent your fire elements from rolling out of the pit. And overall, this stove is pretty stable and it feels pretty sturdy as well. This entire fire pit is going to be able to support up to 45 pounds. And I wanna give you an overhead look here just so you can get a a better view of this grill grate. This is removable, as I mentioned, so this is going to be able to fold away.
And I wanted to give you a better view of the inside of this fire pit. You're gonna be able to use your fuel of choice, whether it's firewood, charcoal, pellets, or those paraffin wax logs. You're gonna use that fuel on this stainless steel fire mesh that's going to provide an open airflow design that's going to help create a hotter fire that's going to produce less smoke than a traditional campfire. And the fire mesh itself has a capacity of 25 pounds. Now I do wanna point out that accelerants like lighter fluid should be used with caution when starting a fire.
And additionally, you don't want to use fire colorants or flame changers, as they will cause irreparable damage to your fire pit. Now take another close up look here. I wanted to point out this heat shield that is included with this. This heat shield is going to help limit heat transfer to the ground, and it's also going to help catch ashes and embers that fall through the fire mesh. And this is rated for temperatures up to 1,280 degrees Fahrenheit.
And you could also use this with a fire-resistant ember mat, which is sold separately, for a leave no trace fire. Now as we have this set up right now, when it's fully open and when this is ready to use, I just wanted to give you some overall measurements so you have a pretty good idea of the size. The overall length, we're sitting right at about 12 inches. The width is the same at about 12 inches. And then the overall height, we're sitting right at about 11 inches tall. Now this is going to cool down quickly, and it features a collapsible design. So this is actually gonna be able to break down to about the size of a standard thermos. And I wanna kind of show you how that's going to work. So I went ahead and removed my grill grates, and then I'm gonna go ahead and remove the heat shield. And this heat shield is held in place by the included hook and loop straps here. And so, I'm just gonna go ahead and remove that. And of course you do wanna make sure that everything is adequately cooled down and cleaned up pretty well 'cause you don't wanna have soot or ashes or anything like that. So I'm just gonna set those items aside. I'm gonna go ahead and remove our fire mesh. So just pull that off of the post here. There we go. And just set that aside. And then I'm gonna go ahead and remove our ember guards. And again, very lightweight, but sturdy. And then just collapse our base just like that. And so, you can just kind of roll these items up. There's really no right or wrong way to do this. And then we have our included storage bag here that's got a pretty durable zipper on here I noticed. So lemme go ahead and open this up. I'm gonna go ahead and put in the base here first so that's all lined up in there. And then put in grill grates. And throw in the ember guards. And you're not gonna really have to worry about these items getting dinged up or scratched up because they're, like I've said before, pretty durable. I'm just gonna throw in the heat shield and the fire mesh and zip this up. It's got a pretty, a relatively slick inside, so I think the inside will be able to be cleaned up easily as well if you get some ashes in there or grease or anything like that. All right, so then we have that all in this nice bag. I'm gonna go ahead and zoom out here. You've got a adjustable shoulder strap so you're gonna be able to just throw this on your shoulder. I've even seen this attached to a backpack if you wanted to take this out hiking, something like that. So it's very lightweight. It's not gonna take up a whole lot of space. When it's in this form, the overall measurements is about four inches long, four inches wide and about 14 inches tall. So it really does fold down to a nice compact size. Instructions are included with this. And if I didn't mention it before, it does weigh a little over three pounds altogether. So even though it's sturdy, it is lightweight. So it's going to be a a great portable fire pit that you can also use to do some cooking on as well. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
