Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at Coghlin's 21 foot long clothesline reel. With this clothesline reel, you can easily and conveniently hang a clothesline at your campsite or outside of your RV. And it's gonna provide very easy storage for you to just stow away in your camping gear or in your RV. Let's take a closer look at this reel. Now what we find inside of this reel is gonna be 21 feet of nylon rope that is gonna be used for your clothesline.

And this reel is going to be just a really convenient way to roll this back in when you are done using the clothesline. I will let you know that this reel can easily open with just a little bit of a turn here and that'll give you access to the inside of the reel and the actual spool is removable. So just be aware of that, it is very easy to open, and it could occasionally pop open by itself if you're not careful, but other than that, this is really a good option to consider if you're looking for a convenient and portable way to hang a clothesline. As you can see, it does include two brass hooks. And the idea is you could use one of the brass hooks to maybe attached to a post or to a tree trunk or even to a wall.

And then you would run the hook through one end of the reel like so, and then you would just pull whatever length of line you would need. And then you can attach this other brass hook again to the other side of a wall, a tree trunk, a pole. And then that's gonna give you your attachment point for this end of the line. Now if you don't use all of the line that is in this spool, you can conveniently just run this around a few times, and that's going to prevent any more of a line from coming out of the reel, so you don't have to use all of the line that's in this reel. So that's nice that you can just lock it off and you won't have to worry about more line coming out while you got clothes hanging.

Let me show you how to reel that back in again, real simple, and it just comes right back in and you're good to go. Let me give you an idea of some measurements here, looking at the overall height here of this. We are looking right at about an inch and a half tall, and then the easiest way I found to get the diameter, is I just took half of this reel apart, and we're just gonna probably, easier to do it this way. And the diameter of this altogether is gonna be sitting right at about, a little over three inches, maybe about three and one eighth inches in the diameter of the reel itself. So again, this is gonna be a really easy, quick, convenient way to get a clothes line up outside of your RV or at your campsite.
