Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
This tie-down strap has been tested and rated at a safe working load limit (WLL) of 5,400 lbs and a maximum load limit (break strength) of 16,200 lbs. A sewn-in tag indicates the strap's size and rating. The WLL rating is also clearly printed on the strap.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM58703, this is the Erickson tie down strap for a truck and trailer winch. The heavy duty winch strap is going to feed into a tie down winch on your flatbed truck or trailer to help you secure a heavy load. This is for use with a fixed or sliding winch, with this part number you're just going to get the strap so the winch is going to be sold separately. It's got the flat edge over here, the exposed end of the strap, this is going to be the end that feeds into the winch. Then on this end right here, you're going to have a wide flat hook, when I took a measurement of the width of this it was about 3 3/4". It's going to have the yellow dichromate plated steel so it's going to be highly resistant toward rust and corrosion. The strap itself is made out of a durable polyester webbing so it's very strong and durable.
It's going to meet WSTDA recommendations. The strap itself is going to measure 4" wide by 40' long. It's going to offer a safe working load limit of 5,400 pounds with a maximum load or break strength rating at 16,200 pounds. With this part number you're going to get one strap. Here on the back side of the strap it's just going to be the yellow construction or the yellow color, there's no printing on the back of the strap.
On the other side of the strap, or on the front of the strap it's going to have the logo and it's going to have all the information printed on it as well as the website and the capacities so that's always there as a constant reminder.
