After it has been secured, this Blaylock EZ Lock ensures peace of mind by preventing would-be thieves from hitching up to your fifth-wheel trailer and towing it away. Simply position the lock around your king pin, insert the 3/4" diameter steel pin through the holes in the lock, and secure the pin in place with a padlock (sold separately).

Today we're going to review part number BLTL-70. This is the Blaylock EZ Lock King Pin Lock for 5th wheel trailers. This Kingpin lock will prevent theft of your 5th wheel trailer. It is a heavy duty aluminum bracket which will fit around your trailer's Kingpin. The three quarter inch diameter steel pin will slide through the bracket to secure the lock to your Kingpin. Now, this does not come with a padlock.
It is designed on this pin to put a padlock through this. Wedo sell those separately. Now, you can use any padlock you want that would fit through here, but we do recommend the Master Lock brand stainless steel padlock, which is part number ML40D that we sell separately. This is a aircraft grade lightweight aluminum construction which is very strong and resist wear and corrosion. It is made in the USA. Again, the application is most 5th wheel trailer Kingpins.
I just want to give you an example here. I happen to pull a example of an industry standard. This is an industry standard two-inch sized Kingpin that would be on your 5th wheel. Basically, what you would do is take this collar, slide it around your Kingpin, take your three quarter inch diameter pin, slide it through and then right where this hole is, you put your padlock in there, and then that would lock it to the Kingpin, so nobody will be able to hook up to your Kingpin and tow away your 5th wheel trailer. Now just to give you a few dimensions on this. The overall width on this is three and three quarter inches.
The inside width right in here is, let's do it right up here, is two and five eight inches. If you'll notice it goes down to a little bit narrower where it goes on the Kingpin. Good product. Works as expected but for one thing. With my truck and 5th wheel setup, I cannot get the trailer level, even when loaded. Not enough height adjustment. Makes hooking and unhooking much easier. Attached the picture to show my problem, even though the adapter is not visible.
Good quality, but the pin is about a 1/2” too long. Also had issues getting the lock (like what’s pictured) through the hole in the pin.
Great Product! Easy to use no fuss. Seems pretty stout as well. Someone would really have to use allot of tools and effort to steal your 5th wheel with this lock on.
Just what I was looking for and couldn't find on other sites. I wanted something that did not require a key for the lock, now I can throw on a combination lock and no keeping track of keys. Shipping was fast. Thanks guys.

Great product, to lock up your investment. The product was available and shipped almost immediately. They provided tracking . I ordered on a Thursday had it on Monday.
I also ordered the Recon DM8550045. Easy to install. I installed it on my GMC 2016 3500 .DWB. came with directions and online video.if needed. Looks great .
As advertised, fits tightly on kingpin. Wish shank was a little shorter, feels like it’s length leaves room to get a saw on it.

This lock may not be the best nor the most expensive but does make the would be criminal take a little more time or have to fire up a cutting torch to get it off.

First I must say etrailer is great to work with. Customer service 2nd to none!! Now the wheel lock: Looks nice and works OK. I’m still not convinced it is securely attached to vigorously prevent a determined thief but it does look tough! Of the three lock settings smallest is too tight, medium is just a little loose. The box it came in showed protective caps on the ends. Mine arrived with no rubber caps. It does scratch my nice teardrop custom wheels.
Fit was a little tight but the trailer lip is pretty beat up so can't blame the lock. I was able to get it on with a little muscle and it locked right up. Going to buy another for my project manager's trailer too!
Works great for my Bulldog hitch! I'm satisfied it will stop anyone from tak8ng my trailer easily!

It fits perfectly but the lower latch disconnected so it falls off when I unlock. That part should be better designed.
