Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the bolt kingpin lock for fifth wheel trailers. This heavy duty collar wraps around your fifth wheel trailers kingpin to help prevent tow-away theft. It does require a bolt hitch lock, with a five eighth inch pin diameter, that is sold separately. The unit itself is made from hardened steel. When it comes to the construction it's designed to resist freezing, shattering, drilling and burning. It also has a black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion.This is designed for two inch diameter fifth wheel kingpins.
So it's really simple, you would place it around the kingpin just like that, then you would pass through the pin, and place your bolt lock on the other side of the pin.The inner width, so from inside edge to inside edge, that's going to give us a measurement of two and three sixteens of an inch, so again, it is designed to work with two inch diameter fifth wheel kingpins. Works with any 5/8" BOLT hitch lock.Although probably not the most secure lock on the market, the convenience of being able to use my vehicle key is what makes the bolt product amazing. I purchased this with the Hitch Pin Lock. eTrailer did an amazing job at keeping me up to date with when the lock was shipped and when I should receive it!

From my connections with the transportation industry, I am aware trailer theft is on the rise. This item is a simple inexpensive deterrent using a hitch locking pin I already had on the shelf.
