Randy: Hey guys, Randy here at etrailer again. Today we're taking a look at the Buyer's King Pin Lock. This is designed to work on any 2" King Pin and it's an excellent way to secure and protect your investment. This is a cast steel lock, has our lock tumbler located in right here. That's going to come with two keys, so we can easily attach and detach this when it's ready for use. That steel is covered with a white zinc coating, so it should give us great corrosion resistance.
We won't have to worry about this, and it's also going to be semi-protected here underneath our King Pin. The lock is also right here on the bottom. It faces downward. Not going to have to worry about moisture and stuff getting inside of it causing us any kind of an issue.Basically this is going be an excellent product to protect your trailer from theft. Once this is installed we can't get our fifth wheel underneath there and we can't get it coupled so nobody's going to be able to move it.
When we compared this coupler to other King Pin locks out there your going to have some of the horseshoes that go around, a pin that slides through the back with the lock through the end of that. I think this is going to give us better protection. There's not real way to access that pin inside and get to it to do any alterations there. And there are of course some more pricey options out there available. But you can see with that full wrap around design they offer about the same protection as what we get out of our Buyer's Lock.To begin our installation process we'll want the locking tab there to be recessed and we're going to slide this in, right up on our King Pin.
At that point it's just a matter of turning that key. It's going to lock that up nice and secure ensuring nobody can couple up to it. That's going to complete our look at the Buyer's 2" King Pin Lock.

Works as expected, no issues at all. Easy to use. One note however: this key is not a "normal key," in that your local hardware store OR locksmith will be able to make a duplicate for you. My master locksmith says he could if I left it with him for a bit so he could modify another blank. Just don't expect to walk to a hardware store and walk out with a duplicate. Otherwise, It's a great lock.
Seems much better than other kingpin locks. It completely covers the kingpin, is made of steel, and the locking device works perfectly.
Good lock but wish lock could be Installed without the key. also would be more secure if it was not made of a cast material.
I ordered several keys to my new 5th wheel and a pin lock with keys for the nose. It shipped quickly and was delivered as ordered. I would most defiantly purchase from here again. Good price too!

I have three of these; all identical. They are in use daily, unless I am hooked up to one of the trailers and going somewhere. They are all working just fine, and if I needed another, I'd buy the same type!

Working great
Just put the lock on my trailer yesterday. It seems like a good security lock. I do feel better now that it is on.
Excellent product, much better than other king pin locks!
Never had a problem with it and absolutely feels secure, so I can rest easy with it on.

This locking device is durable- continual exposure to weather but the key and lock works like new.a good deal for the money!
Good product for the price, heavy duty and I anticipate it will hold up for years.
So far so good love they way it is built and seems very strong.
