At my age of 82 I use it to raise and lower tires from vehicles I’m working on, when their on my 10,000lb automotive lift. I modified it by installing wheels and end caps. See pictures…1449082

Well it’s been another year and now I’m 83. I use it to lift all heavy objects! It works great in reinstalling wheels, when vehicles are on my lift. All that’s needed is to turn the hub, lining it up with the wheel. The wheel slide right in place…so easy!!! I gust used it to install a 30” Microwave Oven over my stove.

Initially at age 82 I purchased this lift, to remove &amp install tires while working off my automobile lift. Now at age 83, this lift turned out to be an absolute must in installing a heavy microwave oven, over my stove. Picture available…

Overall the product is very good. It will help me put my 2 JBL speakers (61.2 lbs each) in my Lexus trunk easily and prevent straining my back. I am a beginner DJ, 77 years old and had a back surgery in 2003. the only minor comment is that the 2 supporting cables are a little tight (or not too long enough) to hook up to the bottom. Maybe it will stretch out after many times using it. Also it is light weight and portable to carry it to other places.1464631

@Renato It's certainly a helpful piece of equipment, we're glad to hear it's working well for you!

A few of things that would make this great.first it could use wheels 2 large ones in the back and 2 pivot wheels in the front. End caps to finish it off . Most importantly I thought that the ratchet on th3 winch would lock out going down as when it goes up so you could control descent as well as when you lift a heavy object.. at least a locking device when it is all the way up so an object can be loaded on it safely. I’m going to add wheels and a locking device myself. Would like 6 end caps to finish off the square tubes.1687944

FYI, the winch is 180 out of whack, (it's not what's pictured no, it's not reversible). in order for the hook to align with the lifting tab I have to drop the cable over the backside of the winch causing to miss the roller/drive axel and now it rubs on the frame... twas a good idea with the right winch I'd be happy, but I give it a C- at best. maybe your manufacturer/shipper is cutting corners???

I installed an eye bolt to guide the cable. otherwise it'll rub the frame. if it drapes the way it's supposed to (across the drive shaft/roller), it's way off center...

for clarification, it's actually the drawing (yeah, I know, it's a cartoon) on the instructions that showed the cable draped across the roller and in line with the lifting tab.

if it matters, I like it better now with the eyebolt installed, still think the winch could be better..1335057

The assembly was very easy, but the instructions could be a little clearer. I used it to lift 156 lb diesel engine batteries and install them. It worked very well and I accomplished the task without a problem. I would suggest that an option to install casters and also supply casters that will work with the L-EVator as an option will be very useful for non-hunting applications.1577544

I purchased this lightweight portable elevator to lift my walk behind lawn mowers and edger. As others have mentioned, it comes with an abundance of cable and I cut the excess off rather than try to use it. I can understand if a deer hunter wants to drag a deer to a pickup, it may be handy. After assembly, I cut a scrap piece of 1 inch OD heavy wall PVC pipe into two equal lengths that will slide into the lift platform square tubing to allow additional reach to the far side of the lawn mower. As I use it more, I'm certain that a system will develop that will add to efficient setup and tear down. I use a bungee strap to hold the folded elevator in a flat stored position, and it will fit laying vertically on its side in my 58 inch 2017 Colorado pickup bed. My next project is to find an available space to hang it on my garage wall when not in use. It will not take more space than a painter's ladder. The new design has loops in the two stabilizing cables instead of fitting into a slot. I believe that is an improvement. The winch is mounted in a way that does not allow the cable to advance across the spool. That did not prevent easy lifting of the lawn mower. I am grateful this option of a light weight lift was available for the price of two visits to the Physical Therapist!935113

Cant hardly lift a wheelchair up because The cable rubs against the frame and also the side of the winch causing it to be hard to crank sooner sooner or later its going to splinter into splinter the cable by rubbing against the frame

Only used it once to load a deer. It worked fine. Only suggestion would be adding wheels so you could move things around.1653885

Bought this to get our 125 lb generator into the pickup. Oversized tires, so the tailgate sits higher than most. This lift device has the height I needed, and it works great. Had to attach a small platform to give the generator a place to sit, but that was easy. I only wish the action was a little smoother going down...it catches a little, then suddenly drops an inch or so. But it's going to do what I needed!688286

Weve used this lift for a year now, and its done everything we needed to do getting heavy things into and out of our truck. Very satisfied with this purchase!

I got this to be able to load a deer (or other heavier item) in my Ranger or truck bed. Getting older and having back problems. If I'm by myself, I just can't do it the old fashion way. I just got this item the other day, and have not used it on a deer yet. Did get it out and loaded a heavy cooler in my Ranger bed with ease. Looking forward to Fall and Deer season now. 552170

It is great. Used it on deer and other items this past fall which there is no way I could have done these things without help. It has helped me maintain my independence. Best purchase I have made in a long time. Two more of my hunting buddies have now purchased one.

the product is great & will work for what i needed. it's a bit awkward/cumbersome to handle but that just is what it is. im not a very big person...for a man it's prob not an issue :)
it came to me without instructions to put it together which i was bothered by i'll admit, but i got it done & hopefully it's correct. i did find an assembly instruction page on line but it was pretty limited. also one of the clevis puns did not have a hole in the end at all for the cotter pin to go through. i found a nut & bolt in my own supply that fit.
i'm using this to repeatedly lift a large wheeled craftsman tool chest in/out of my car. i'm a nurse & travel to many facilities throughout the day. the tool chest was perfect for my job but in truth is a bit heavy for me...i really wanted to be able to use it & this lift, i think, will make it doable without the constant lifting. so i'm very happy with it. 779477

This is my preliminary review :Built sturdy, cable on roller is very stiff and wants to tangle a lot, it has much more cable than needed and I think I will shorten it. Less to tangle may even replace with more flexible cable. I bought it to lift my companion 5th wheel hitch out of my truck. Haven’t tried it yet. 711796

It works, but it is awkward and unbalanced to handle. It is top heavy and a latch would really help to keep it together when moving it from place to place.957944

Works well, I strap it on my ATV to get on site and it easily lifts deer up so I can get them on my ATV. Watch the nut on the winch handle, it comes off easily, but otherwise works very well. 691408

Just put the elevator together today. I did not have anymore problems than I usually do with instructions. The elevator is structurally solid. It would help if the two cables that hook at the bottom of the platform were just a bit longer making it easier to hook and unhook in the field without any tools. I purchased the elevator to load any future deer harvest into the bed of my pickup particularly when I'm hunting alone. The only concern I have is how difficult it will be to balance a deer on the narrow platform when winching the animal up without it tipping one way or another off the platform. I will have to see how it goes in the field next year. 598600

During deer season, this stays in my truck. It makes loading a deer very easy with little strain or effort. One of the best hunting purchases in a long time. Follow the deer-loading instructions to make it easy.891935

The lift is perfect for my application. My wife has suffered several strokes and currently very unstable on her feet. She utilizes a walker to get around the house but once or twice a week she ends up on the floor. I am unable to lift her up by myself and depend on family and neighbors to help pick her up after a fall. The portable lift is perfect and lifts my wife high enough so she can return to standing. We no longer need help from our very good family and friends and she no longer has to wait on the floor for help to arrive. The lift is light weight and very portable. Excellent quality and engineering. We both thank you for giving us the tool we need to stay independent and continue home care.1188661

Its GREAT! Reached 80s and not capable. Worst yet quad by-pass surgery now lifting limitations increase to 30 lb so making good use.
