Today, we are going to be taking a look at part number AMG100659. This is the Texas chrome mascot and state emblem two-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to represent your state and Lone Horn pride. It's going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch and it helps keep dirt and grime out of the hitch. The hitch cover is going to be made from a steel construction and it's going to feature a really nice black, powder coat finish, which is going to offer great rust and corrosion protection. We're going to have chrome-plated metal emblem right here on the front. It's going to feature a rust-proof and fade-proof design. This product is American made. Here on the backside, we are going to have a foam basket. This is going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover.
This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock for a complete installation. Those items are sold separately and can be found right here at etrailer.com. The pin hole in this hitch cover will accept a standard five eighth diameter pin. A few measurements to cover over you quick, starting with the width, right here of the face. That's going to give us a measurement of about five inches. The height is going to measure about three and a half inches.
And then the distance we have from the back of that foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole, that's going to be about two and a half inches. This is designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Simple installation, you just slide this piece in the receiver tube of your hitch, push it in until you hear the pin holes align up with one another and then secure it by installing a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. My husband loves it!!! When we dont have the trailer hooked up to the truck, that hitch cover is on there! Hes a hugh Texas Longhorn fan...so yes, it was perfect!!
I bought this hitch cover for my husbands b-day for his new truck. We live in Wisconsin but the hubs is from Texas. So I thought I would give him a little piece of home for his daily drive in this crazy Wisconsin weather!

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.
This hitch is made of really good material to with stand weather, etc. My husband polished it and it stands out. Great hitch.
