The Hide-A-Goose gooseneck trailer hitch works to meet your heavy-duty towing needs while still allowing you to get full use out of your truck bed. It installs to existing, factory attachment points beneath your vehicle to create a low-profile look.
To remove the ball from this hitch, just lift and turn the lever that is built into the top of the ball. This will disengage the ball bearings in the shank so that you can easily lift the ball out of the hole.
Once you've removed the ball, use the rubber cover to conceal the ball hole. This cover prevents dirt and debris from getting into the ball hole. This will prevent buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

I installed it myself sitting on the ground with the spare tire out. a bit challenging for one small guy . But got-er done.
Only residual problem, it ever so slighty touches the exhaust pipe when starting the engine.
Hauled my 26' 10000 lb trailer to Michigan and back.
Like it much better than the "universal" mount in my 96 Ram 2500 CTD.

I really liked the product and it got to me in a timely maner. The only thing that was wrong was I was 4 lock nuts short (the ones that go the the safty chain u bolts) and 2 washers short. I dont live in town so I had to drive 30min to go get thoes few parts. There cheap parts so its not worth contacting the company and haveing to wait another week for them. It was easy to put in and works like a champ.

DO NOT BUY this product if you ever want to pull a 5th wheel trailer on a 5th wheel sliding hitch! Unlike b and w you can not get a hitch to fit into the ball mount to pull a 5th wheel in a short box truck! It sure would have been nice to know this prior to purchasing as now I have to either buy a rail hitch kit or convert my 5th wheel over to a gooseneck. The way campers are made I don’t think 13,000 pounds taking a beating on a converted gooseneck hitch will do the camper any good. Now I would give it 2 stars if they would let me change it

This set up works perfectly for my 2018 Ram 3500. All holes in the bracket were factory drilled and they matched up exactly with the holes drilled in the frame of the truck. Super sturdy and very solid. Excellent product.

- Why Don't Gooseneck Hitches Install Behind Rear Axle in Truck BedFor your 2014 Ram 3500 you have to install a gooseneck hitch either right above the axle or slightly forward. Gooseneck trailers have very high pin weights relative to bumper pull trailers. If the pin weight is behind the rear axle of the truck it will actually unload the front suspension and reduce braking and handling performance to a dangerous level. Havent had much call to use it again covid 19- I dont travel but still satisfied with the purchase. I know the hitch is still there cause I still hear it hit the pipe every time I start it up.
