Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this RISK Racing EZ5 Utility Jug with spout. This is a five gallon utility jug that will allow you to transport your liquids safely and securely. This is constructed of an HDPE plastic so it is gonna be highly durable. Now, one thing I want to point out right from the start is that this does not meet the ASTM EPA or ARB as well as other official agencies descriptions of a portable fuel container. So if you are going to use this as a fuel container or to transport gas you may be in violation of your state's laws.

So you do wanna make sure you're checking your laws for any legal requirements before you put any fuel in this. But this will work great for your non-potable water, your antifreeze, engine oil, gear oils, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, those sort of things. It does have fluid measurements that are molded onto the plastic here on the front, both liters and gallons. So you can see how full it is. If you need to add more before your trip or as you're filling it up you can make sure that you're gonna have enough.

This does have an ergonomic design that will make it a very easy to pour out any fuel or fluid that you do have in here. It's got three handles, so one at the top, one at the back here, and then we've got this one at the bottom. So very easy to hold onto as we're pouring. Our hose bender spout is constructed of a durable HDPE rubber that is designed to stay flexible over time. So unlike some of your clear hoses that get hard over time, this is designed to stay malleable for you.

It does have this aluminum cap up here at the top so that's gonna create a nice seal for us to prevent spilling in transit. We do have this wire lanyard that's gonna keep that attached so we don't have to worry about losing it. But then it's also gonna have the secondary function. We've got that hook down there that we can hook that onto and that's gonna create a consistent bend in our spout so we don't have to worry about wrestling with it to get it put into a hole or when we're done, worrying about it rebounding, flinging out spilling our fluids. So very easy to put that in place and have that nice consistent bend in our spout there.

And then when we're ready to transport, we can just simply thread that back in. We also have this stability hook here that's going to rest on the lip of our fill container. Give us some stability while we're pouring, again, so we don't have to worry about wrestling with it. Our hose bender is a 3/4 inch thread. It does have this flange on top here with the O-ring that's going to tighten down to create a nice seal there. This cap does come with a plug installed. So if you are wanting to transport without the hose bender in place, you can reinstall that cap. But if you want to transport with your hose bender that's going to still give you a nice solid seal so you don't have to worry about spills while you're transporting it. On the backside here we do have this aluminum breather and this is located at the back top so it is far enough away from your cap and spout that you aren't gonna have to worry about any of your fluids leaking out as you're pouring. But that will allow you to control the venting and it does have that rubber O-ring there too. So as we tighten that down it's gonna create a nice tight seal so we don't have to worry about it leaking as we're transporting it. Give you a few dimensions so you can see how this is gonna fit into your space. So if we've got our hose bender installed, closed up we're looking at approximately 29 inches tall. If we're just measuring from the cap we're sitting at about 19-1/2 here. So depending on how you want to transport it if you've got a tight space, you might want to use that cap but if not, you sitting at about 29 inches tall. Our body here we're looking at about 10-3/4 of an inch. If we include the hose, it's about 14 inches there. And then our width right about 9 inches. Now an accessory that will make this even more valuable for you is going to be the hardened steel jug mount. So this will bolt onto your floor of your van, trailer, or truck, and it will allow you to very easily clip your jug in place so you don't have to worry about it tipping over as you're traveling. And then when you're ready to unload just simply pull that lever back and it will come detached. It's also going to give you the option we've got a hole here, so if you wanted to put a padlock through there make sure that no one can come along and easily take off with your jug, give you some extra security.
