Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the DayTripper General First Aid Kit.Now this is going to be a really handy kit to have just about anywhere that you might be in the outdoors. It's going to also have a waterproof pouch, so if you're out on the water, all your first aid items aren't going to get soggy and wet and useless, so it's going to be great for those marine applications, or if you're going hiking somewhere where it's going to be pretty rainy, that will also work well.Let's go ahead and look at what is actually in our kit. It does have this adhesive strip, so we'll have the hooks on the bag and then this loop material in this little strip that has an adhesive backing, so you can mount this to a bulkhead or any kind of sturdy surface. Just want to make sure that you have it nice and cleaned off so that adhesive can stick.

You could also kind of tuck this into a larger pocket if you wanted to. It's not too big. Just take a quick measurement here. It's about 6-1/2" by about 6", so relatively small.Has a little tab on the sides that makes it easy to open that up and then pull out to the actual kit inside there. This bag is waterproof, so it should keep everything nice and dry.

The bag here also is a plastic, so it should keep things dry as well. But one thing I noticed as soon as I opened it, there's a little a gap in that sealing strip, so just a word to the wise.In our kit we're going to have all this good stuff. There's also a complete list of everything and a picture on the outside of the bag. We're going to have two latex gloves so we can keep things sanitary, keep ourselves safe while we're treating other people, to alcohol cleansing wipes. Actually get a couple of these.

We'll get eight of these. Some non-aspirin, two actually, acetaminophen, a triple antibiotic ointment, some more alcohol wipes. So now we're up to two, four, two, four, six, eight, 10, 12, 14, and 15. We'll have some burn cream, a large sterile gauze pad, this measures 3" by 3". Some motion sickness tablets, a sting relief pad, if you get bit by something, a larger kind of rectangular square bandage, a fingertip bandage, and a knuckle bandage.

So should be most of the things that you can possibly need out in the wilderness.And then we'll have several just kind of run of the mill fabric bandages. So I've one, two three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 of those guys. Really this is a handy kit to have on any long road trip, any hiking trip, or anything like that, especially if you've got little ones. We'll also have some adhesive tape so we can secure down that gauze if we need to. But that's pretty much everything that comes in the kit.There are other versions of this available here etrailer.com.
