Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Function One Directional LED Amber Warning Light. This light would be great for safety, maintenance, and emergency vehicles. It would also be great for industrial and agricultural equipment. This is an amber 6" oval strobing directional warning light. Now I want to mention a couple things real quick. You can use two Function One lights for synchronous flashing, or you could use one Function One and one Function Two light, for alternating flashing. Function Two light is available at etrailer.com with part number SLL72AB2. This light is sonically sealed when it comes to the housing and lens.

It's completely waterproof. It's going to feature a polycarbonate lens and housing, very strong, durable design. It is a grommet mount installation. Mounting grommet is not included. I would recommend using part number A70GB, that's available here at e.trailer.com. This light contains a total of 22 amber LEDs.

LEDs are great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer. They burn brighter. They are much more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments.

The unit is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. It does require a three-prong plug. That's going to be sold separately. Those are available here at e.trailer.com. I'll actually be using one for our demonstration today. On this you're going to notice a white wire, red wire, and black wire.

White's going to be for ground. Red's going to be for power. Then the black wire allows two lights to flash together. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Then we'll hook up the power. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it at a low light setting. Starting with the overall length, the light itself is about 6-3/8" to 6-7/16" long. The width is going to be about 2-1/8 to 2-3/16". Then the depth, if we include the port back here, that about 1-3/4" deep. Just measuring the lens, that's going to be about 13/16" deep. This light draws 0.448 amps at 12.8 volts. It will work with 12 volt or 24 volt systems. Optonics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We'll go ahead and hook it up. This will allow you to see the flash pattern. So you can see there, it sends out a nice, strong, consistent signal. Multi-diode design. Again, it's going to contain 22 LEDs, so that multi-diode design really helps optimize the light output, and the overall performance of the unit.
