Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics LED directional warning light. This is a compact amber directional light for your vehicle that's going to provide a warning signal to increase safety. This is going to be ideal for towing, plowing, transportation, warehouse and agricultural applications. It meets SAE J845 requirements for class two vehicles. It's going to feature a single five flash pattern. You can synchronize this with other lights. Two or more lights can be wired to flash together or in an alternating pattern.
Additional lights are going to be sold separately. This unit does feature a full LED system so LEDs are brighter, they are going to last longer, and they're more efficient when compared to incandescent bulbs or lights. The unit features durable surface mount technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board. What that does is that better withstands shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. I do want to point out that all around the unit the unit's going to feature a sonically sealed design which makes it waterproof when it comes to the housing and lens unit. It's going to feature an IP67K rating for industry standard protection against dust and moisture.
It's got the nice clear polycarbonate lens that's impact resistant with a strong and durable black AVS plastic housing. This is going to permanently install on the mounting surface with the included gasket and the included mounting hardware. Here at the wiring, it's a three wire design. Red is for power, white's for ground, yellow wire is for synchronization. Taking a look at the overall dimensions real quick, going edge-to-edge in this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of about 5 1/2 inches wide. Going this direction we're looking at about 3 11/16 of an inch tall. Overall depth front to back is 1 11/16 inch deep.
Measuring just the dimensions of the actual light area, that's going to be about 4 1/4 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall. When it comes to the mount hole separation there's predrilled mounting holes on each corner. These two holes are separated on center by about 4 3/4 of an inch. These two holes are separated on center by about 2 7/8 of an inch. The wire length is going to measure around 70 inches long, that's 5 feet 10 inches. It's going to contain a total of six diodes or six LEDs, and the power drill at 13.5 volts, is 0.33 amps.
When it comes to operating voltage we're looking at nine volts to 36 volts DC. Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our red light so you can see it at a lower light setting. Here you can see it sends out a very bright signal. Again, it's going to feature a single five flash pattern, which is very fast so the camera doesn't necessarily pick it all up, but it is flashing very quickly five times. Again, it's going to contain a total of six diodes, which helps optimize the overall light output. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics LED amber directional warning light.
