Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Blazer Short Profile Emergency LED Safety Light. This is gonna be a magnetic, and portable light that you can attach to the top of your truck whether it be a truck that you use for work. Maybe working on some utilities or any sort of emergency vehicle where you might need a quick setup to just display a light on the road to let other drivers know that you're there, and to watch out for the obstruction. Because it's portable, you can easily sort inside the vehicle when it's not in use and pop it on the roof whenever you're ready to go.

Let's check it out. When it's on your roof, it just plugs into 12-volt power inside your vehicle or maybe in your truck bed if you've got an outlet there. And the cord is 12-feet long when it's fully stretched out. So you've got plenty of room to work with. We've just got ours run through the door jamb here even though the window is down, you don't have to run it through the window you can just run it through the door, and close it on it.

So if it is rainy when you're out and about, then you don't have to worry about water getting inside your vehicle. Getting this plugged in, and turned on is really simple. Just pop it into your 12-volt outlet. The switch on the right will turn it on, and have a small red LED that illuminates to let you know it's on. And the switch on the left will flip back and forth to control between the different modes.

There's nine in total because the light does include white LEDs and amber LEDs. So it's got three strobing patterns. Three for just white. Three for just amber. And three that use a combination of white and amber all following the same patterns.

And here's a quick run through of the different modes. So we've got a slow flashing amber. A slightly faster flashing amber. The spinning amber light. And then as I go into the next one, it's going to repeat the same patterns with the white light, and then it'll repeat the same patterns with the combination lights. Now honestly, this isn't the brightest light in the world, but I do think for what it does, it does help. In my own neighborhood at home, our internet company and our electricity company have fleet vehicles very similar to this truck, and they use a light very similar to this. It's pretty small, but for a small truck, I think that's all you really need. And in a neighborhood where people are going slow, and you just need to pull off to the side and do some quick utility work, then this is enough to just draw some extra attention to it. Laser does make a variety of different lights that are in bigger and brighter sizes. Some that are even heated. So if you needed to operate it in the snow maybe for a plow, then it would melt the snow off. So there's tons of different options for those different applications, but I think for utility vehicles, people that are doing work in a neighborhood on said utilities, this is where it might shine its best. Now I've turned the light off, so it's not flashing in your face, but I wanted to show the magnets underneath. This is my one gripe about the light aside from the brightness is that, the only thing protecting your roof from scratches are these small stickers that go over the magnets. And before we started shooting this video, all of them we're in place, but you can see we've lost one in the process. It's not on the roof, so I don't really know where it went, but that's something we noticed right out of the package is, these we're already falling off. We replaced one with a bit of electrical tape, and that honestly seems to be holding a lot better. But without that layer of protection, it's just metal on metal contact with your roof, which isn't great. I wouldn't recommend it. And then these screws here are exposed and they're about the same depth as the magnets that hold it in place. So if you're looking at this, wondering if it's gonna damage your roof, I would definitely be cautious. Maybe get some electrical tape and tape over some of these spots, just to better protect your roof. As far as the rest of the unit goes though, I think the construction is really solid. It's got a thick polycarbonate lens, and the outer housing doesn't feel cheap or plasticy. It's got a good weight to it, and the magnets do feel pretty strong for what they are. So I do think it's gonna hold up pretty well to the elements. It's got an IP67 rating, so it's gonna help protect it against rain and dirt and moisture. Anything that would potentially damage it over time. So if it is on your roof in bad weather, you can trust that it'll be safe. And I do think it's gonna hold up. As far as some measurements go, this is their low profile model. So from the bottom to the top, it's only two inches tall. I think that does maybe hinder its visibility a little bit, but for a small truck like the Maverick or any other similar vehicle, I think that's perfectly fine especially if you set it towards the edge. And the bottom diameter is, four and one eighth of an inch. That'll let you know if it fits on your roof if you've got ridges between the ridges, and it's flat like it does there. But honestly, the magnets are strong enough if you did need to set it on one of the ridges. I think it'll hold perfectly fine especially for a stationary vehicle. Just make sure you remove it before you start driving. So whether you've got a utility vehicle or a small work truck, I think this is gonna be a great addition to help give you some extra visibility without having to permanently mount something up. Like I mentioned before, if you've got something like a snowplow or a bigger truck, I'd go for one of the bigger lights just to help with visibility. I think this low profile one works with the smaller vehicles because it just is more visible that way. But on the taller trucks, you probably want a taller light. Regardless of which one you go with though, which one fits your needs the best. This is then our quick look at the Blazer Low Profile Emergency LED Light. Thanks for watching.
