This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your rear cargo area. You will have to remove the rear threshold and some interior lining to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided 15-amp fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Got this for my newest car because the last two I ordered were also perfect fits! Thank you etrailer!!
The hitch is low profile and barely noticable. I cant say enough good for the product I purchased because it all fit perfect. Only criticism is two things. First the trimming for the hitch on the valance was measured but needed a larger portion of material removed than what the instructions stated. Second the wiring fit perfect except a positive wire had to be run from the battery to the trunk which I was not aware of until installation. Neither of which was a cause of etrailers. Total install time from start to finish was 3.5 hours but I'm not a mechanic. The etrailer price was about $50 cheaper than their competitior. All in all this was a positive experience because everything shipped on time and was included consistent with the product discription. In the future I would consider etrailer as a primary supplier because of how they handled my business on this purchase.
You etrailer folks sure know how to spoil a customer. Since I'm a repeat purchaser of your products, I'm still amazed how quickly you fulfill the order and ship it out so promptly. I paid for standard shipping, but if I didn't know better I'd say that it was expedited shipping.
The hitch was well engineered and excellent vehicle specific lighting kit with thorough instructions for both(2017 Chevrolet Malibu).

The trailer hitch and the wiring kit were both excellent quality. The delivery was fast and the instructions and installation videos were very helpful. Don't be afraid to do it yourself. You'll save yourself a bunch of money. Great place to do business.

Wire harness was very easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. The installation took longer because I had a hard time getting under the car to run the wire to the battery. Great product and would recommend.
Product fit and functioned as expected. Pulled a trailer 1000 miles with no issues.
Excellent company to deal with. Very fast delivery. Excellent videos on how to install hitch and harness. Made the job much easier. Highly recommend.

Its been a year and to everyones suprise Ive been using the hitch to pull a 5x8 enclosed trailer. The harness works flawlessly and the hitch is tight and had handled the miles I have used it for. Im so glad I went this route. Thank you etrailer!
