Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side interior trim panels in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

2014 NissanJuke

installed on 2014 Nissan juke. I like the fact it has its own power supply instead of feeding off the factory brake line power. So I started off by popping off the rear plastic cover. For this, I used a small 7-inch mini pry bar and 2 flat head screwdrivers. i also used a soldering gun instead of the little yellow connection pieces. I ran my power wire through the inside of the car along the driver side. underneath the plastic floor kicker panels. The hard part is getting the wire through the rubber grommet just above the brake pedal. I used a sturdy wire (really sturdy) used Ducktape to attach the wire and shoved it through the grommet , make sure not to damage any fatory wirring or you might be in big trouble. ( this took me awhile)
then I soldered all my connection (wish the fuse holder was black so it looks more factory). I also followed some of the factory wiring and taped the yellow fuse holder and yellow around them with eletrical tap.

Timely shipping, fits my 2014 juke perfectly. Yet to try it out on trailer. If I don't update review then all goes well!

This is my second trailer hitch and and wiring harness from e-trailer. As in the past the service was great, price was excellent and the product was as described with great instructions.Should I get another vehicle without a hitch I most certainly will get it from e-trailer.

Its been a year and my attitude for e-trailer has not changed. Great prices and service and productsa that are as described. I just ordered a bike rack from them and expect no less. Super people

Bought this after the Curt harness wouldn't work. This one worked first time no problem. While more work to run power directly from the battery it really is better. Would have been nice if the gave waterproof electrical connections though.

Mark S- was this because the Curt harness wouldnt support the brake lights on the trailer?

2013NissanJuke

Just installed this on our 2013 Juke Nismo AWD.
Product installation was fairly straight forward. Removing the rear threshold required really using some force to get the clips to release from the frame, but nothing broke. The rear side panels pull away much more easily than the rear threshold panel, and do not need to be fully removed to access the brake light harnesses.
I chose to run the power wire under the car and through the gromet located under the spare tire. Everything worked without any issues when I picked up a u-haul trailer to deliver a motorcycle.

2011 NissanJuke

My only complaint about this, throw away the splices and the eyelit. Then purchase ones with real heat shrink on them and not some garbage plastic shrouds. People that run wires/solder wires know to always use heat shrink when splicing together electrical connections. Better yet; slide heat shrink to one side of your splice, solder your wires directly, and then slide the heat shrink over and heat it.

Installed wiring, had a couple questions called and received the answers i needed, the wiring for the trailer has been working great!

by:

Installed and works good.

The only
problem I had with it, was the driver side plug to the module is really short, making it hard to mount the module anywhere due to the bass speaker being in the way, it just needed like 4" longer wire to get below the side panel trim.

  • Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer With a 2011 Nissan Juke AWD
In order to tow a trailer with a 2011 Nissan Juke AWD you'll need a trailer hitch, trailer wiring harness, and a ball mount/hitch ball. For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11088 which offers bolt-on installation and is assembled in the USA. Then for a trailer wiring harness, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118528 offers plug-in-play installation. For a ball mount, the Curt Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches part # C45520 is what you need to use along...

  • Differences Between Draw-Tite # 24892 and Curt # C11032 for 2012 Nissan Juke
If you're planning on doing some light-duty towing, you'd want Draw-Tite #24892, along with the # 118528 trailer wiring harness and the 1-7/8 inch diameter trailer ball, part # 19256. The Curt # C11302 would install in essentially the same manner, using the same attachment points, and has an identical weight capacity. However, Cut requires the use of a stabilizing strap # 18050 to provide extra support to non-trailer loads. The strap doesn't work well with some vehicles, so I typically...

  • Installation of Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Nissan Juke
On your 2015 Nissan Juke you'll need to remove the panels on both the driver's and passenger's side to install the # 118528 trailer wiring harness. To remove the panels you can use a flat head screw driver, or some other tool for prying, to release the tabs on the backside of the panels. I've linked a video on a different harness that installs the same way. Skip ahead to about the 50 second mark and you can see how the panels are removed.

  • Is Drilling Required to Install Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 24892 on 2012 Nissan Juke Front Wheel Drive
To install any of the trailer hitches for the 2012 Nissan Juke, front wheel drive, you will need to enlarge an existing access hole on the frame. This can be done in several ways including using a drill, rotary tool, or file. Installation of an aftermarket part technically will not void the warranty. Consumers are protected by the Magnuson-Moss warranty act that states, in part, that unless the part that was installed causes a failure then the warranty cannot be voided. Check with your...

  • Troubleshooting Curt Trailer Wiring Harness # C56124 for 2012 Nissan Juke
There are a couple things to check before replacing the unit, which may be the answer. First, check your vehicle fuses as listed in your owners manual. There are specific fuses for trailer use on your vehicle. The second thing to check is the ground wire on your wiring harness. If the ground is bad and isn't getting the bare metal to metal contact it could have worked and then suddenly stopped working as you stated. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check functions. If all...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2017 Nissan Juke AWD
Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24867 is the hitch designed specifically for your 2017 Nissan Juke AWD. Hitch # 24892 will fit but # 24867 will be easier to install. Since you will be towing a small motorcycle trailer I also recommend ball mount # 3593. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring you can use # 118528 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle. I have included links to videos on the hitch and wiring for you.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and 4-Way Wiring For Trailer Towing With a 2013 Nissan Juke
To begin according to the owners manual for your 2013 Nissan Juke it says "Do not tow a trailer with your vehicle." so you will want to consider that if you do intend to still tow. With that said if you do still decide to tow a trailer I recommend installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11088 on your 2013 Nissan Juke AWD non-Nismo edition. If you have a Nismo edition there is currently not a receiver confirmed to fit. Curt recommends using either the 1-7/8" Drawbar # C45561 or 2"...

  • Recommended Hitch for 2011 Nissan Juke for Towing 2,000 Pound Trailer With Brakes
Yes, you can use a Class I hitch like the Curt # C11302 to tow your 2,000 lb trailer. I recommend this hitch if you have the 2011 Nissan Juke with front wheel drive. If you have the all wheel drive model, you will need the # C11088 instead. Both of these hitches have a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs, so as long as you do not exceed the capacity of the hitch you will be fine. You will also want to double check your owner's manual to make sure your Nissan Juke is capable of towing...

To install any of the trailer hitches for the 2013 Nissan Juke, front wheel drive, you will need to enlarge an existing access hole on the frame. This can be done in several ways including using a drill, rotary tool, or file. You will still need to lower the exhaust as well. • Difference Between Draw-Tite and Curt Trailer Hitch for 2017 Nissan Juke AWD
Aside from the manufacturers there is very little difference between the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24867 and Curt Trailer Hitch # C11088 that fit your 2017 Nissan Juke. The biggest difference is that Curt recommends using Stabilizing Straps # 18050 for all accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers. Due to that and Draw-Tite's strong reputation for making very high-quality hitches I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 24867. This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver that...

  • Constant Power on 4-Way After Installing Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2013 Nissan Juke
It might be the tester. If the tester uses LED lights and it is a powered harness there can be some bleed off from the harness. This is normal and since LED lights require such little power draw they would light up a little. If you are using Curt wiring harness # C56124 on your 2013 Nissan Juke, it doesn't have a power wire. Green is right turn, yellow is left turn, brown is running lights, red is brake lights, and white is ground. Constant power usually indicates a short. Check the...

We do show confirmed hitch fits for the 2017 Nissan Juke, for non-NISMO models. You can see all products on the linked page. We do have Curt options but I suggest the lower-price Draw-Tite. If you have the AWD model you can use Draw-Tite Class I hitch # 24867; if you have the FWD model you can use the Draw-Tite # 24892. For both you can use ball mount # 3593, either 1-7/8-inch ball # 19256 or 2-inch ball # 19258, and 4-pole wiring harness # 118528. This is a powered converter harness.
