Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins plug in simple vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. This product fits a 2004 to 2007 Acura TL. To ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle, you can always use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com. It provides a four way flat connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately and it comes with a dust cap for the four way flat plug.

That way you can cover up the connection points when plug's not being used.Now it does include a taillight converter, that's this black box right here. This ensures that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailers'. The powered module connects directly to the vehicle battery through the wiring to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system and it is designed to connect quickly and easily. You just need to locate the connection points in the rear cargo area and plug in all your connectors. Now these connectors are custom fit for your vehicle, they are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle and again they just simply plug in and then they snap lock together for a nice tight secure fit.

Plug in all your connectors.Then you'll need to make a ground connection your ground wire's the white wire with the ring terminal attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a suitable grounding location and you can use the included grounding screw to get that done. Then you can mount the converter box to a safe, out of the way location using the provided cable ties. Next, you'll need to run the hot lead to the vehicle battery. The hot lead is the short red wire coming out of the box.

This gets connected to one end of the bundle, simply use the pre-attached butt connector to make that connection. The other end of the bundle runs to the vehicle battery, gets connected to the one half of the fuse holder here at the butt connector. The other half of the fuse holder has a ring terminal attached to it and that gets connected to the positive post of the vehicle battery. It does come with your 15 amp fuse, goes directly in the fuse holder and it has the cap that goes over it to keep that safe and protected.Then, you can secure any excess or slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. And once your installs complete, the four way connector's going to be stowed in your trunk.

You got plenty of wiring here, that way you can extend it out the back when you need to use it. Then roll it up and tuck it away when you don't need to use it. It is recommended that you use the included terminal grease on all your electrical connections like the plugs on the vehicle and the four pole connector itself. That's specifically designed to help prevent corrosion to the connection points.Then when it comes to the maximum amperage for your stop and turn lights, we're looking at three amps per circuit and for the taillights we're looking at six amps per circuit.
