2007 Ford F-150 - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector

  • 4 Flat
  • Trailer Hitch Wiring
  • No Converter
  • CURT

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Ford F-150 with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind rear bumper
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

It worked. I thought I was getting a harness that plugs into the main harness that y's off from the plug in the frame. Lucky for me the tail light side of the old harness still worked because all this does is plug into that. I could of done what this plug does for free and a little bit of solder.

I ordered in-line trailer electrical kit for my 2000 F150. After attempting to get the spliced lights to work for the umpteenth time, this kit worked awesome the 1st time. Unplugged the factory plugs, plugged this in and away I went. PLUS the kit had a really long lead which is always nice. Much better than anything I could find local ...and those didn't fit.

It rocks. You wouldnt believe the trouble I had in trying to get the generic ones to work in the past and they never did. I have never been so excited about a trailer wire..haha

FordF-150

The product did everything it was supposed to do and was very easy to install on my F150. My existing factory installed harness left turn signal stopped working on my trailer; the problem was isolated to be the truck harness so I ordered this product. The only issue I have is minor; I wish the connector would fit in the factory installed bracket instead of swinging loose.

by:

It was a direct fit and everything works according. I plan to continue shopping with this company

by:

I bought this product to run a hitch brake light or a led light bar under my tailgate. I currently am running a hitch light. Even though it says it is for trucks without factor hoolups it plugs right in to my truck with factory 7 way. The only problem I have is the wires are so long I ran them close to the hitch and then had to zip tie a least 1ft and a half of wire toghter.

by:

This was easy to install and youtube has a good video of how to do it. The only drawback is that it does not come with a connection to the trailer hitch. I guess they just want it to be dangling beneath the truck. I went to NAPA and got one for about $5 the added a couple nuts and bolts to finish the installation. This is so much easier than splicing wires.

Curt 56031 for a 2000 Ford F-150. Old factory connector was corroded and beyond repair.
Ordered late Monday night with 2 day shipping. Received midday Thursday . Took less than 5 minutes including cleaning my old plug off. Plugged in and zipped tied in place. Plugged trailer connector and had lights. Best money spent even with two day shipping cost. Left for the Outer Banks with boat on Friday. Hint- Used photo of my connector ends and matched to the Curt 4 way plug in photo.

Wow! Could not have been easier to connect my trailer harness to my Ford F150. Pull the original connector apart & snap in this "T" plug. Great item. Thanks for the [online video] for letting me know that this item was available.

Plugged it in and in 5 minutes had trailer lights. Could not find the correct harness at any auto parts stores. Will definitely be back for any needs in the future. Ford F150 2/96 with 3rd door.

  • What Makes the etrailer Trailer Hitch Different Than Other Hitches for a 2003 Ford F-150
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e92KR differs from the other fits for your 2003 Ford F-150 in that it has a matte black finish. This not only looks more rugged but is more durable than the classic glossy black finish we see with the other hitches. I really like this finish and recommend it as often as I can. If you don't already have trailer wiring on your truck then I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C55344 if you have a Flareside or SuperCrew or the T-Connector # C56031 if you...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness and Brake Controller For 2002 Ford F150
If your truck already has a 4 pin trailer connector, you'll just need a # 37185 adapter, a brake controller like the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus you'd looked at and the # 3035-P wiring harness. If you don't already have the 4 pin connector, you'd also need a # C56031 harness to tap into the taillight harness in addition to the brake controller and brake controller harness mentioned above. I'll link you to a help article that runs through the installation procedure for you step by step.

If you have a factory 4-flat connection on your 1999 Ford F-150 4x4 then the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM40145 will be a confirmed fit. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Ford F-150 wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, near the driver's-side frame rail. If you do not have the factory 4-way flat, then you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56031....

  • Will Trailer Wiring Harness 20028 Fit a 1998 Ford F-150 without Factory Trailer Connector
To solve the problem of the dirty connections you can clean them, then use dielectric grease at the connections, # 11755, and then seal everything up using liquid electrical tape, # SWC50122. Another option is to replace the 4-Way you are using with either # C56031 for a non-stepside bed or # C55344 for a stepside bed. These connectors actually plug in line with the tail light wiring so you will not have to use quick splice connectors.

  • Installing Brake Controller on 2007 Ford F-150 without Trailer Wiring
The brake controller install port you found under the dash of your 2007 Ford F-150 is active and will be used to install a brake controller like the Brake EVN part # TK63VR with an install harness like the # 3035-P. You will need to install a 4-way kit like the # C56031 and then convert it to a 7-way with the part # 37185 and make a few connections from it to the wiring that's at the rear of your truck frame. I recommend the P3 Brake Controller # 90195. this is one of our most popular brake controllers because it is easy to install and operate. The plug-in adapter for this brake controller is part # 3035-P. • Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2002 Ford F-150 That Does Not have Trailer Wiring
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # C56031 if you only need a 4-way. Now if your trailer does not have brakes but you do need a 7-way instead all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
