  • 7 Round - Blade
  • Trailer Hitch Wiring
  • Custom Fit
  • No Converter
  • CURT

Quickly and easily install a 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your Ford F-150 with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into OEM tow package wiring harness - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Features:

  • Provides a 7-way, blade-style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Designed for use with a factory tow package
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points along frame rail
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Includes required relays to activate functions
  • Comes with protective cover for 7-way connector
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your factory tow package wiring harness, which is located beneath the rear of your vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail.

Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (PK12711U - sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

fit perfect, plug and play

by:
1997 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty

Shipping my hitch was fast. Might consider wrapping loose hardware packs to the hitch.

by:

Plug and play. What more can I say? It was a huge relief etrailer had a product in stock to prevent cutting my factory harness.

Awesome no issues after a year

by:

This is a very easy wiring harness to install , now my trailer brakes work . Would definitely recommend , well worth the money.

by:

f150 four stars because; The installation was complicated by the instructions They stated look at your owner's manual for the location of fuse and relays, The problem was the location is NOT listed in the owner's manual. Two day later I found the location. A picture in the instruction sheet for this year would help.

Thank you Adam for reaching out to me. Yes I am very happy with Curt T-connector and wiring harness. Along with the Curt tow hitch and break controller we purchased from etrailer everything is functioning as it should. Very very pleased we the service and products we purchased through. Thanks again for all your assistance.

2000 FordF-150

Worked as it should except the truck has maxi fuses instead of the large green ones.

by:

When I bought my truck somebody snipped the trailer wires, but this was the perfect solution. Everything I needed was supplied.

by:

Fast and informative response from customer service (Sheila C) Order shipped and received promptly. Easy plug into existing wiring, no cutting into exsisting wiring. Only negative would be the bracket for 7 way outlet not included, needs to be ordered separately. Would have been a fifteen minute job but I made my own bracket.

Product still working as expected. No issues.

by:
2001 Volkswagen Jetta

Very easy to install. Worked great until I traded in the truck 6 months later. I had an initial problem with the running lights but traced it down to a known but hard to find issue with the wire being pinched and shorted out at the wiring harness just outside of the fuse box on the left front wheel well. I am considering a motor home and will need a harness to connect my towed vehicle lights. I will definitely call for quote at that time. I will also need the front adapters to connect a 2001 VW Jetta to a Roadmaster tow bar.
Thanks for a great product and great service

Great product plug and play easier to install than expected, did not need to lower the spare tire tire like as suggested lol ,it came with the wrong fuse for my truck but as not a problem, my truck is a weird one lol ,it got diferente fuse then most

by:
1999 FordF-150

My 99 F-150 had both factory and after market harnesses installed. I was confused on what to order but took a chance with this one. It installed perfectly and worked perfectly. My original 7way had been cut off and the aftermarket had went bad due to corrosion.

Thanks etrailer for your website. I had no clue what I needed for my recently purchased travel trailer. After a little research on your website and the great videos on the subject I found exactly what I needed to hook up the trailer brakes to my truck. Easy install and price was good. I am now looking to purchase tires to replace the ones on my camper. I will be sending another order soon. Thanks again etrailer!

by:
2002 FordF-150

Easy to install, works great, allowing use of new boat with surge brake. Original 4 pin connector did not have back up light, this connector did not require tapping into reverse wire.

by:

Everything I needed came in the box from etrailer and all I did was plug it up. It’s been working without any problems since I installed it a year ago. Awesome well built 7 way plug!

by:

It works . This is good, because if it failed within a year, you would have gotten some of that distasteful and spiteful language you don't like.

still working fine

by:

The Curt T-Connector to add 7-way trailer connector to my truck installed quick and easy, and work just like expected. It would have been helpful if this product would have provided a bracket for mounting the connector.

by:
2002 FordF-150

I HAVE RECIEVED AND INSTALLED THE TRAILER BRAKE /WIRE HARNESS AND THE 7 PIN TRAILER LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND ALL IS WORKING PERFECT. VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALLATION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.!!!

by:

Product received quicker than anticipated. Installation was simple and was able to remove all the previous owners messed up wiring and once the new part was installed everything worked perfectly.

Now when I connect my trailers up all the winches / lights work as expected.

The instructions were simple to understand and follow.

I book marked this site and will use again and also tell my friends.

Thanks etrailer

by:

Easy to install (video helped); product well-built and seems like it will last a long time; If I had to suggest any improvement it would be to increase the size of the mounting screws; they are a little small to handle the push/pull forces of the plug/unplug operation. Otherwise, this is a perfect product for the application. NO wire splicing required!

by:

Just received my order and installed over the weekend, everything went together like the videos showed and still waiting to put it all to good use. Jean at etrailers helped me with the questions I had and made things a little simple to decide which brake controller to get. She was a great help and I'm sure all off the employees are at etrailer. Thanks Jean

Sorry for delay in the review.

The
wiring harness worked great, I had to do some playing with it due to the wiring issues with my old truck, but it worked as expected and perfect. I had to leave my old factory harness in place for this to work, as it has the factory 7 way, but I made it work. Thanks for the professional advice and help selecting the product.

If you have a need for a new plug to fit any kind of trailer these folks have what you need, I ordered 1 for my ford & its a plug & play install that would be the same as the factory installed with out the cost. Local dealers wanted $150 & I got it for about 1/3 the price

We do offer replacement connectors that will work with your OEM wiring harness on your 2008 Ford F-250. If you just need the replacement 7-pole connector, I recommend part # PK11893. The Curt T-Connector #C55242 is designed to plug in line of the connector that is in the drivers side frame rail near the rear bumper. You will undo the connection and plug the 2 connectors in line of that single plug. I have no idea what that 2nd round plug that you have goes into or is for as I have been unable to identify it. I have included a link below to the installation instructions PDF that shows a color picture of where the connection is and how the Curt connector plugs in line.
