Replacement 7-Way Connector For 2008 Ford F-250 With Towing Package
Question:
I have a 2008 F-250 pickup with a factory towing package. The 7 way trailer plug on the rear of the vehicle was smashed. What harness would you use to replace this, that would plug into the factory harness. Would there be a harness for a 6 pole plug?

We do offer replacement connectors that will work with your OEM wiring harness on your 2008 Ford F-250.
If you just need the replacement 7-pole connector, I recommend part # PK11893. This is an exact replacement for the OEM connector on your truck.
If you find the vehicle side of the harness was damages, I recommend part # C55242. This plugs directly into OEM tow package wiring harness and requires no cutting or splicing of wires.
To get a 6-pole connector on the rear of your truck you would then need an adapter like part # HM47570. This will plug into the 7-way connector on the rear of the truck and give you a 6-way, 5-way, or 4-way connector for varied trailer connectors.
When working with wiring connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connection and helps prevent corrosion.
I have attached a couple of product review videos you can check out.
