Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Watching the install video on the site helped me install this in 20 minutes. Most of the time was spent deciding where to put the zip ties(keeping the cables away from exhaust). It works great. Cords is long enough to reach any installation situation. Using it for LED lights on a hitch carrier.
Awesome product and very easy to install. 30 min to install my new hitch and wiering kit.

The area behind the taillights is fairly well protected from the elements, but water will still splash up in there. Using some dielectric grease such as # 11755 in the connection will do an excellent job of keeping moisture out.

Install time was 1 hour, it took me 20 minutes to remove the spare tire as it was never removed in 8 years! Straight forward and easy install.
I thought it would be a challenge to install the electrics for my hitch, but with your kit and instructions, it was a breeze! I completed the install in less than 20 minutes, and worked perfectly right from the start. Great products & service, etrailer!

Installation was easy as the video indicated. I had 2 problems. Neither i suppose are the fault of etrailer but frustrating non the less. After installing the harness I closed the tailgate on my dodge Durango and the passenger side tail light was slightly out of position causing contact with the hatch causing the taillight lense to crack under the pressure of the power liftgate. Second I paid for 3 day shipping which was delayed due to hurricane Harvey, for an additional 4 days. Again not the fault of e-trailer just frustrating to pay $16 for 3 day shipping and have it be delayed

I have not had the opportunity to install the Curt hitch or wiring but have removed it from the box and it appears to be excellent quality.

Easy to install. Installed hitch and wiring harness in about 20 mins. Only hiccup on my side was ran the wiring harnesses next to exhaust and then noticed when I went back to zip tie the wires up tight so I had to go back and re wire the passenger side. So pay attention unlike I did lol. Anyways I recommend this product. It's a plug and play type deal. A 5 year old could do it.
I cannot review the products that I have purchased yet, because I have not installed them, but I will say that I am fairly amazed that after placing my orders for the Curt trailer hitch, wiring harness and plug mounting bracket on Monday this week all of the items arrived on my fornt porch Wednesday afternoon. This was using the standard ground delivery. Items were shipped from St. Louis and also in Minnesota.
Everything works great! I've been using this for over a year now and had no issues. I buy a lot of hitches and wireing from etrailer.com and everything is always great! including the service. Thanks guys!
This product is awesome! It took my husband less than an hour to attach the hitch and plug in the trailer lights!!! He was very impressed at how easy and heavy duty this product was. He is used to welding and splicing and taking two days to have to attach a hitch..Not any more!!! We will definitely recommend this product and etrailer to all of our friends!!!
This wiring harness was very easy to install. The video links on the etrailer site made me feel comfortable enough to give it try. Wiring was completely installed in about 30 minutes.
I received my towing package today in a timely manner. Also ordering much of the electrical components for breaks among others.. I am very pleased with this product. Nicely built. Plan to use this hitch for towing a boat and 2 horse trailer. Living on a ranch it is a must to have. Can send photos after installation... Again thanks for a great product.
Arrived on-time in excellent condition. Only suggestion would be to add a little detail on popping the taillights off. I was afraid I was going to break something. Other than that minor issue, the harness installed just fine and works great!
I have not installed the system yet but I am more than happy with the delivery time of the product. Caleb was excellent on the phone for answering the questions and taking my order. The product is still working great after 1 year. Just used it on a road trip and I was glad I had this installed since my camping gear blocked my Durangos lights. Make sure you pair these with LED lights.
