If all you will ever tow with your Durango is a small flat-bed or utility trailer with bare-bones lighting with one stop/turn/running light per side, for example, the standard # C56133 would work for you.
If your trailer has additional side marker or clearance lights, or you might have the need to tow a larger trailer with more elaborate lights in the future, you would be better off going with the powered converter, # C56333.
Regardless of what you might or might not be towing in the future, I would recommend going with the powered converter because of the circuit protection it will offer the wiring system of your Durango. A powered converter will draw the voltage for powering the trailer lights directly from the battery, instead of drawing it through the tail light circuits. The powered converter will also serve to isolate the wiring system of your Durango from any short circuits that might occur in the trailer wiring.
The installation of the powered converter is pretty straightforward. I have linked you to the installation instructions, as well as to an FAQ article with more information about how to run the power wire from the converter box to the battery.
