Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove all trunk floor coverings and the rear scuff panel to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.
Each Curt circuit board is made using high-quality components that are pieced together in the most technologically savvy fashion, leading to greater predictability and reliability in functioning.

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness with this four-way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2018 and newer Toyota Camry vehicles and on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle. It'll show if this will work on your application. Now this provides this four-way flat trailer connector here at the back of your vehicle, helps power your trailer's signal lights, and it is compatible with the five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. This kit does connect very quickly and easily.
All you have to do is locate your connection points, which are behind the taillights, plug in these T connectors, one on the driver's side, one on the passenger side, ground your white wire right here, and then run this power wire to your vehicle's battery. Now it does come with a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to do all that.It does include this taillight converter here, this black box, to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. This is a powered module which connects directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Now, this module is constructed using SMT technology, which is surface mount technology, gives you more consistent, reliable performance. It'll maximize your trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat.
Also ensures your superior operation in rough road conditions. If you notice on the four-way, does include this dust cover here, so when you're not connected to the trailer, you can put the dust cover over the terminals, and that'll protect them from any damage or from the elements.A few specs on this wiring harness. The maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is three amps per circuit. For the taillights, it's six amps per circuit. And then just briefly how these parts are all attached.
Again, what you'll do is go to the rear of your vehicle, gain access behind your tail lights, and then you'll plug these in behind the tail lights. You'll start with the one the T connector with the yellow wire in it, that's for the driver's side, and then the length of wire with the green wire, that rule goes over to the passenger side. Again, you'll plug those in behind the tail lights, and then this module has a little weight to it so you don't want it bouncing around, so you want to attach it to a nice flat surface, they do give you a piece of double face tape you can use to do that with or there's a little tab with a hole and you can put a screw through there to attach it down.Once that's all attached, you can run this bonded wire with the four-way out towards the back, and then you'll have two remaining wires, a white wire and a black wire. The white wire you can see has the eyelet on it. That's to connect to a good clean ground if there's one nearby.
If not, you can make one with this self tapping screw. And the remaining power wire will need to go to your vehicle's battery, and they give you this length of wire to do that and the connectors. So you'll take a butt connector here, put it on, connect it to the other end, and run your length of wire up to the front of the vehicle. Once you get to the battery, you don't want to connect it directly to the battery, you want to run it through this inline fuse holder. So you take other connector, attach it to one end of the fuse holder and the other end of the fuse holder. You'll take this eyelet connector, connect it to the wire, and then connect that to your vehicle's battery. Once that's all connected, pop open the fuse holder, take the included 10 amp fuse, install it in the fuse holder, put the cap back on, and you're all ready to go. You can see that they give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. But that should do it for the review on the Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered converter reduces strain on wiring system and is made using SMT to ensure superior performance.I would give it a five star review, but I did have to troubleshoot the wiring harness. And result is amazing and everything functions as it should. I’ve seen other reviews of people saying that some of the pins are in the wrong spot. IN THE PHOTOS IS HOW THE PINS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE ORIENTATED ON THE HARNESS ON BOTH SIDES IF YOUR HAVING THIS ISSUE. Mine is a 2020 Toyota Camry XSE with the LED tails lights. If you’re having an issue where your tail lights aren’t functioning the way that the car is telling the trailer to. The issue is probably the orientation of the pins. Hope this helps. I do recommend buying this!!
I bought this for my 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Install was easy following the directions but like many other reviews I have seen online the blinkers did not work. The brake and running lights did work. After a little investigation with a meter I noticed the wire for the right/left turn signals coming off the two pass thru connector sets did not line up with the wire connected to the blinker on the car. I cut and re-soldered the wire so on the right side/passenger side the tap off wire matched the car blinker wire and the trailer blinker started working See the green wires in the attached picture. I had to cut the green wire and move it over one position. I repeated the modification for the left/driver side and that one started working. So it works but you may have to cut and reconnect the green/yellow blinker wires. I soldered the wire when I flipped them over but one of those in line splices would probably be easier.
Super fast shipping, item as described. Have purchased several items previously and all were as expected and great price
Nice hitch, easy to install Took about 2 hours,
Kit fit perfectly. The instructions provided were clear and concise and Installation took less than an hour.
Lights won’t work

I got the wrong trailer harness, but Amy was able to guide me in the right direction to get the job done. Evidently my Camry was made in Canada and it takes a different one. They gave me part number and although they were out of stock , I was able to get it ordered elsewhere, true customer service

A good place to start is to double check all connections and make sure things are plugged all the way in. Another thing that is a common causer of issues is the ground wire not being properly connected to a clean, direct, and secure point.
