Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Durabilt 2 Ton Chain Hoist. This is gonna do a great job of lifting your cargo up out of your truck, or your trailer, and allowing you to unload it or to load up your truck and trailer with that same cargo. So, this does have a nice steel frame and gear casing, that's going to be extremely durable. You are going to get 15 feet of this five 16th inch diameter, grade 80 tempered steel load chain. So between our steel frame and our grade 80 chain, we're going to have a very durable setup here.
It gives us our safe working load limit of 4,400 pounds, or about two tons. It's got a proof load limit of 6,613 pounds, that's what it was tested to, before there was any sort of damage. So you know you have a little bit of wiggle room there, but of course you don't want to exceed that two ton weight rating. It does have a pull to rated load rating of 81.4 pounds. So obviously gonna be much, much easier for you to pull that load up, so that you're not gonna have to lift two tons on your own, which would be pretty hard on your back.
So you can see that we do have these hooks here. One that's going to hold our unit up onto our mounting position, it's got a nice spring loaded closure there. And then we're also going to have this lower one on the end of our chain. Both are going to rotate 360 degrees to make it easier to hook up in different positions. We're gonna have that spring closure on the hook on the end of our chain as well.
Our opening here, we're looking at right about an inch and a quarter of opening. So it should be pretty easy to get this hooked onto whatever you're using to support your load. This does weigh about 50 pounds, just a little bit under that. So if we're gonna hook this up overhead, it is gonna take a little bit of work, a little effort there to lift that up, but obviously much easier than trying to lift that two tons of your cargo. So, once you have this in place, it's gonna be very easy to lift that chain up like so, or lower it by going the other direction.
So, much easier to operate this than to try and lift 200 or two tons by other means. This does meet or exceed the ASME B30.16. The HST-ZM and the ANSI standards. So you can trust it's made to those high quality standards. It's gonna do a good job for you, help you get your job done so that you can go enjoy more enjoyable things and not have to worry about lifting all that two tons on your own. So overall, really nice system here, giving you that 15 foot maximum height, and that two ton maximum weight rating. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
