Note: Not intended for overhead lifting. Tie-down chains must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the chains being used. For example, if you are using chains with a WLL of 4,000 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 8,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 chains to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use chains in pairs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Durabilt 3/8 inch by 20 foot long Transport Chain with the Clevis Grab Hooks on each end, and it has a 7,100 pound working load limit. Now, this transport chain with the integrated grab hooks are ideal for securing heavy loads, so it's ideal for load binding, tie-downs towing, and even logging applications. Wanna zoom in and show you the chain up close. It is a Grade 80 tempered steel, which is very durable, you can see, has a nice black finish to it. On each end is the 3/8 inch size clevis grab hooks, makes it very easy to connect to an anchor point, and the grab hooks have an open design without the safety latch, you see one here and one right on the other end.
Now, these are manufactured to NACM, ASTM, and ISO standards. Few specs on this, again, total length on this chain is 20 feet, safe working load limit of 7,100 pounds, it is a gray GAD chain, and the link thickness on this chain is 3/8 of an inch. Now, one note I wanna mention about working load limit, tie-down chains must be chosen according to their safe working load limit, so the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the chains that are being used, so for example, if you we're to use a chain that has a working load limit of 4,000 pounds each, to tie down a load that weighs 8,000 pounds, then you're gonna need at least two chains to safely secure that load, and it is always recommended to use the chains in pairs. But that should do it for the review on the Durabilt 3/8 inch by 20 foot long Transport Chain with the Clevis Grab Hooks..
