Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at Coghlan's chrome metal case pocket compass. If you're looking for a classy, reliable pocket compass, this might be a good item for you to consider. I'm a big fan of old-time pocket watches, and this is what it kind of reminds me of. So this is gonna kind of give you that pocket watch feel and look, and it's also gonna fit in your pocket very nicely, like an old pocket watch but it's also gonna be very practical as well. This liquid-filled pocket compass is going to help you navigate your surroundings by indicating your direction with its luminous dial, its non-glare black face, and a positive stop lock and within a sturdy, chrome, metal case.
So this is gonna fit easily in your pocket, but also it's gonna be sturdy. The luminous tip here, the glow-in-the-dark tip on this dial is going to help you navigate in low-light conditions. And this features a positive stop lock that's gonna keep that needle in place. As you can see, I have that engaged and that needle's not moving, and that's to protect the needle when it's not in use while you have it pocketed. So that's a really nice feature of this particular compass.
Now this is a sturdy, chrome metal case and that's gonna protect the compass, and again, fit very easily in your pocket. And let me give you some measurements just to kinda give you an idea of the size of this compass. Looking at the height, I am, at least what I'm calling the height, I'm measuring from the bottom of the hinge to the top of the loop. And we are sitting right at 2-1/2 inches. And then taking a look at what I'm calling the width, I'm measuring all the way to the end of that positive lock button on this compass.
And we're sitting right at two inches. And in regards to just how thick this is overall, it looks like we're sitting right at about half an inch thick. It kind of caves out a little bit, a little bit of a curve there. And when it's open, I'll line this up here for you. From the end of the lid to the end of the loop, we're sitting right at about 4-1/4 inches.
So I really like the look of this compass, and I think it's gonna be very practical as well as classy. But if you're looking for more of a modern take on a compass with add additional features, such as a thermometer, Coghlan has you covered in that regard as well. They have a pocket compass with a thermometer that you can find on our website, using item number CG69RR. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
