Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the gourmet kitchen set from GSI Outdoors. This set is going to include all the essentials that you need to cook a delicious meal while you're at your campsite, in a convenient carrying case so you can take it all with you wherever you go. This 11-piece set includes a collapsible whisk, just simply pull it out, push up on the sides here. It's going to extend those little whisk pieces to mix up maybe gravy or something in the morning at your campsite, if you're cooking biscuits and gravy. It's also going to include this spoon that will swivel into full size. I'm going to zoom in here so you can see, the spoon does have measurements on it.
Might be kind of hard for you to see those, but it goes from one tablespoon to two, and also three tablespoons as well as the equivalent measurements there. So it'll help you as you're preparing or mixing. Then to get it back in place, you just simply push the orange piece off of that raised portion there, and that can swivel back in place, and installing to the bag there. We're also going to get a pivoting spatula, works very similar to the spoon so that we can scrape our eggs or whatever else we're cooking in the morning. We've got a four-chamber spicer, so you just pop the cap off. That side will give you another head for your spicer.
And then on this side, screw off the cap, you've got a little spicer there. If I pop that cap off, you can see that that does have two chambers in it. Let me zoom in again so you can see that a little bit better. So we've got divided here, when we have the cap on, we can either have it on the one side to pour out or the other, so if we have say salt in one side, pepper in the other, we can do a little bit of salt first and then switch it over, little bit of pepper. Then we unscrew the middle portion, we've got our third and fourth chambers here.
So if we have extra spices that we want to take to flavor our stew at night or whatever else we're cooking, we've got four chambers for all those spices, and again, the additional head if we want even more spice on our food.On this side, we've got two condiment containers, so if we're wanting to take some ketchup and mustard with us can easily fill these up. Each one has two of these caps, so the cap that is attached is a solid cap, it just keeps it closed and makes sure that everything stays inside. The other cap is a squeeze cap, so you pop the top there, you've got a little squeeze nozzle to make sure that you're getting just enough ketchup or mustard on your hot dogs, or whatever else you're using. We're also going to have a cutting board to make sure that we can cut up all our vegetables or whatever else we're preparing. Then along with the cutting board, we're also going to get a scraper, it's a nice rubber side here so we can easily scrape off our cutting board or plates, make it easier to clean at the campsite. This side is a harder plastic, so if we've got more stuck-on pieces of food, we can scrape that off as well.
We're also going to get a scrubber, help us clean that and our plates. And a camp towel so that we can dry everything off, make sure that it's all stored without getting any mildew or anything. All of this comes in our nylon carrying case. This does have the storage loops to hold our utensils, and the pockets for our scraper, our scrubber, our cutting board, all of our different utensils that we've talked about already. This is a zippered case, so when we're ready to pack up, you can just zip it closed. This does have a carrying handle on it to make it convenient to take with us. You can see it is that rugged nylon case, so shouldn't be any problems taking it outdoors with us, throwing it into the car or in a backpack to take to the campsite.Overall measurements, we're looking at right about 11 1/2" long by about 7 1/2" wide, and only about 2" thick when we've got it all collapsed. So it's not going to take up much room in your vehicle or your backpack. It only weighs 17.2 ounces, so it's very lightweight. It does come with a limited lifetime warranty from GSI Outdoors, so if you we're to ever have any problems with this kit, you could give them a call, they'll help you out. The only potential problem I could see is that these utensils are plastic material, so if your camp cookware is getting really hot, it's possible that they could melt, but if you we're just using them to prepare batter or gravy, something like that, they're not going to be in the pan for a long time, they should do fine. But they're going to give you a lot of options, especially with the spice and condiment carrier. I think it's going to do a good job for you. So that's going to complete our look at the gourmet kitchen set. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
