Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Green Starboard LED Boat Navigation Light. Now whenever you're operating your powered boat between sunset and sunrise, or another times of restricted visibility such as fog or rain, you do need to display the appropriate navigation lights so that other boats can see you and take the appropriate action to avoid a collision. So in general all navigation light systems will all include a red and a green sidelight. The red light will be the port light and the green would be this one, which is the Starbird side of your boat, as well as one or more white lights. Now this LED green starboard navigation light will provide increased visibility for your boat.

Has a range of up to about two nautical miles. Now we do also sell the red port light which is available separately on our website and it is listed on this product page as a related product. And the red one is part number TN25ZR. Now, if you notice this light has a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating, and it is a clear lens over two green LEDs. Now I do wanna mention at the end of this video I am gonna connect this to some 12 volt power to show you how bright the light is and the color of the light.

But I first wanna go over some of the features of the light. They do use premium LEDs on it, which are energy efficient, long lasting vibration resistant. They're rated for up to a hundred thousand hours of operation. They do use a military grade construction of the circuit board. They use the patented tech seal potting process which ensures a waterproof protection.

Now this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a surface mount installation. It does mount using a protective mounting cover which we do sell separate on our website. And again, they have many different finishes of mounting covers you can choose like stainless steel, black, white. We do list them on this product page it has a related product.

But just to give you an idea I happened to pull up one of the stainless steel covers just to show you what it looks like, when the light is installed in the cover. And again, those we do sell separately on our website. It does hard wire to your application. You can see the two wires the power and the ground coming out. The wire length is about six inches. A few specs we're gonna measure the light. So the width on this light is gonna be right at one inch. Total height on the light is right at seven eights of an inch. And the total depth of it is also right at seven eights of an inch. Input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts. So again, what I'm gonna do is we're gonna go ahead and hook this up to some power, and once I get it hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn that power on. And now I got it hooked up. We got our light, and we go ahead and turn our power on, and you can see with the power on there's your green starboard light. Go ahead and turn off overhead light and you can see how bright a light it is. Gives off a very large area of green light. And then we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead light, and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq Green Starboard LED Boat Navigation Light..
