Ultralight bike work stand

This ultra-lightweight wash and work stand lets you perform on-the-go maintenance on your bike. It's smaller than the Feedback Sports Classic repair stand, but it's also lighter, more compact, and easier to transport. It has a ratcheting, slide-lock clamp that grips your bike by the top tube or seat post. You can adjust the height and angle of the clamp 360 degrees so your bike can be placed at the optimal level for maintenance. It also has a wide base for stability on nearly any surface or terrain.

Ratcheting, Slide-Lock Clamp

Rubber-coated clamp grips down on your bike's seat post tube

The ratcheting, slide-lock clamp grips your bike by the top tube or seat post. It has a soft rubber coating that will not scratch your bike frame. To load your bike onto the stand loosen the rubber tightening knob and simply slide the jaws open. Set your bike between the jaws, and close them with your hand. Turn the knob clockwise to secure the clamp. The knob has a built-in clutch that prevents overtightening so you don't damage your bike's frame.

Rotating Arm

Arm rotates 360 degrees

The arm rotates 360 degrees so you can position your bike at the perfect angle for maintenance. To adjust the angle simply loosen the hand knob at the back of the arm, rotate the arm, and re-tighten the hand knob to secure the position.

Adjustable Height

Loosen the collar to adjust the height of the stand

The locking, quick-release collar lets you raise or lower the clamp so you can set your bike at the optimal level. Open up the quick-release lever, raise the stand to the desired height, then close the lever to lock it in place.

Compact Storage

Stand folds up to a compact storage size

The stand can be folded up for compact storage in your vehicle, garage, or Feedback Sports tote bag (sold separately). Simply loosen the knob, fold the feet in, and tighten the knob to secure it into position.

Video Transcript for Feedback Sports Ultralight Bike Work Stand Review

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Feedback Sports Ultralight Bike Work Stand. This is gonna be a great way to work on your bike, either in your garage or maybe take it with you. This is the ultralight model, which means it's very lightweight and portable. So if you need to take it with you to an event, to a race, or just keep it in your car so you have it on hand if you needed to do some maintenance, maybe at the trail or at the path where you're going to be biking, you could. Let's check it out.

Now, the first thing I want to know is, is my bike gonna be safe up here And that really comes down to the stability. The tripod legs at the bottom spread out really wide, so you get a nice solid base. And when you position one of those legs out in front in the direction of the bike, you're left with a really stable result. So even if you we're to maybe bump into the bike as you're walking by, there's really no risk that this is gonna tip over. You'd have to really run into it or purposely try to hit it and tip it.

So whether you're going to the front here, there's still a lot of forgiving range, so to say, where even if it tips quite a bit, it's gonna come back. That weight is still centered pretty well. So the wide base helps it keep its footing really well. And the clamp up top here can attach to many different spots around your bike to give you the optimal hold depending on the type of bike you have. So right now we've got this held onto the seat post, and this would be a great way to hold the bike if you maybe wanted to work on the back wheel here, because it puts everything at a pretty nice height to just be at chest level.

I don't have to stoop over, and if I needed to, I could maybe sit down and have it more at eye level. Same thing goes maybe if I needed to, let's say swap my handlebars. My good friend and coworker Tom, this is actually his bike and this weekend that's actually what he's going to be doing is swapping his handlebars. So this is probably what his bike's gonna look like when he is working on it because this is a great height. It makes it a lot easier to do and you can trust that the bike isn't gonna tip over while he's working on it.

Now, clamping onto the seat post here, if you had a hydraulic dropper post, then you probably don't want to hook up to there. So in that case, you can see there's a small label here with some arrows where we can twist it to the left to open the slide lock or twist it to the right to lock up the clamp. So all I need to do is untwist it (stand clicking) until I can pull that slide clamp open. And with the bike undone, you can hopefully get a better look at that. And whenever I twist it to lock it, I can't open it anymore. So that's going to allow for an easier hookup. I'll switch to the frame right now, and to do that I'm gonna loosen this backhand knob so I can rotate the clamp to a more optimal angle for our frame. I'm gonna say right there is probably where I want to try it. So we'll tighten down that back clamp, lift our bike frame into position here and lock it in. So if you had a carbon frame bike, maybe not the method you want to be using, but this will allow us to grab onto our frame here and lock it down. So in this state, I could lower the stand down quite a bit probably and make it a little more comfortable. But if I maybe needed to work on the front wheel, this does bring it up to a more manageable height for me, or it brings it to a more comfortable height where if I've got maybe a stool or something, I can sit down and still have it at a comfortable level. This latch on the main frame there will control the up and down movement. Now, I'd probably do this without the bike up there, but this isn't a super heavy bike. It's well below the 85 pound weight capacity, and I feel comfortable managing the weight. But again, it's probably just safer to set it to the proper height, get everything tightened down and then put your bike in. But that at least shows you the height adjustment you're working with, and if the frame setup just works better for your bike in general, then you can see you've still got a great range of movement where you can get to different parts of your bike. Now the clamps here are constructed of a sort of hard rubber material where they're rigid but still soft, so it's gonna help protect your bike. Now we saw that mechanism to control the height. This can go all the way down to 36 inches tall at its lowest or at its tallest, 58 and a half inches, which if you're going to be running it in the tallest height, it means you're probably attaching to that C post there because the center of weight is gonna be down here rather than up high. I wouldn't attach the frame up here personally just because then all that weight's gonna be higher up. And a taller center of balance is going to put this a little bit more in an unstable position. And when that mechanism is open, it allows you to spin that upper arm 360 degrees, or if it's locked, it'll keep it solid in place. So that allows you, again, to just move your bike to the optimal position. The hand knob on the back not only controls the angle here, but if I loosen it up enough, then you'll notice that I'm able to actually fold it down for storage and then re-tighten it to secure it. So whenever you have this not in use in transport, that helps keep things compact. And the same goes for the tripod legs at the bottom. This latch will open and release them, allowing you to make adjustments. So if we wanted to, we could have it up a little bit higher. Let's say you have a really, really light road bike and you've gotta attach to the seat post. You probably don't need to spread the legs out to their maximum just because you're not working with as much weight. Whereas our heavier mountain bike, I did want that wider base. So having it up more like this would make it less of a kicking hazard and take up less floor space. But of course, you can fully retract it. And if I need to, I can move this out of the way a little bit, lock everything back down, and I'm left with a compact folded stand that only weighs 10 pounds. So really easy to keep in the car and transport with me because it's ultra light. The aluminum is what helps keep it lightweight, but it's also gonna be rust resistant too. And the brushed red finish I think looks really sleek here. It's a really nice looking stand and it performs well too. And if you wanted to, maybe you're transporting this and keeping it with you in your car, going to events and races, then you might consider picking up a carrying bag just to help keep it protected. But if it's just in your garage as a home shop type of thing, then I think this could be perfectly fine as is to just hang up on the wall. So as far as bike repair stands go, I think this option from Feedback Sports is gonna be great. Definitely on the higher end available because it's got a lot of nice convenient features and the construction is top notch. So if you don't need all of that, you can find more affordable options on our site here at etrailer. But if you're frequently doing work on your bike, your family's bikes, maybe your friend's bikes, or you just have a nice bike that you want to take care of, or you're taking a repair stand with you to events, races, things like that, you want it to be portable, then this could be a great option for you. But that'll do it for our look at the Feedback Sports Ultralight Bike Repair Stand. Thanks for watching.

Order arrived in perfect condition and already assembled. Product feels solid and high quality. Assembles and disassembles smoothly and the clamping mechanism is sturdy and easy to use. Once I got the bike secured and started working on it I had no worries about the stability of the stand. I really can’t think of anything to complain about - it just works and works well.
