This universal coupler lock protects your trailer from towaway theft. Lock codes to your Chrysler Aspen's ignition key, and it's nearly impossible to pick or bump. Included lock, base plate with ball, and shackle fit most coupler and latch styles.
Features:
Specs:
Note: BOLT locks permanently code to only 1 vehicle. They cannot be re-coded or re-keyed.
To install this lock simply insert the ball into the coupler's ball socket. Insert the collar into the base plate until it's snug against your trailer latch and the holes align with the holes in the base plate. Insert the lock through the holes in the base plate, and use your vehicle's ignition key to secure it.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.

Speaker 1: Today I'm going to take a look at the Bolt Trailer Coupler Lock for one and seven eighths inch, two inch, and two and 5/16ths inch couplers. And this one is for the Chrysler Key. This part is designed to work with most Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. It's a universal coupler lock that'll protect your trailer from tow away theft by preventing hookup. The locked cylinder uses the bolt technology, which is means it codes to your vehicle's ignition key. Basically what happens is when you insert your key into the cylinder, the spring loaded plate tumblers'll move up and down until they're match exactly to that key, so the first time that key is rotated, the cylinder's uniquely coded to that key, so when you remove the key, the cylinder moves into lock position. When you put the key back in and turn it again, it'll rotate to the unlock position. One note on it, the bolt locks permanently code to only one vehicle.
They cannot be recoded or re-keyed.Also, on this cylinder, it uses a six plate tumbler side bar on the lock, prevents picking or bumping of the lock. On the pate itself, it's a hardened steel hardware for extra security. Has the interchangeable ball on the steel base plate. This is what it'll insert into the ball socket on the coupler. Now, it comes with .. They're interchangeable, two different sizes.
The one I bolted on now fits the one and seven eighths inch and two inch couplers. The larger one you'll bolt on if you're going to use a two and 5/16ths inch coupler. The steel shackle right here. You can see it's a seven position steel collar. This'll side over the coupler, restricts the coupler latch movement, so you can't remove it from the lock here.if you notice, it has a nice red and silver powder coat finish on it to help resist corrosion and they use a red color on the baseplate which makes it visibile theft deterrent. It does include everything shown here on the table. The baseplate with the two interchangeable ball sizes.
The steel shackle that'll fit in most coupler and latch styles. The steel pin that goes through that the lock'll attach to and a nice set of instructions. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to demonstrate it. I happened to pull a two inch coupler. This fits onto a two inch ball. This is your standard latch-style coupler.
So what you do is you'll take the shackle off the baseplate. Take your coupler, open it up, drop it onto the baseplate. Latch it back down, now it's hooked up to that ball there. Then you'll take your shackle and if you notice on the baseplate, let me turn this here, there's two different rows of slots there. You pick the correct row that'll cover the latch. So, if you put it in the front one, this isn't going to work because it won't cover it, so on this actual coupler, you put it in the rear one. And then you'll just slide it up til it's up against the latch. Take your pin, slide it through the hole that it'll fit on, and slide it through the other side. Get the hole to line up, just like that and then you'll take your bolt cylinder and put that right on there and lock it into place. And you can see once it's all locked, you can't open up the latch, so that won't unhook it from the ball and nobody could hook this up to a vehicle and tow away your trailer. So, it's very nice, handy, easy to use lock. And then to remove it, you just take your lock off, slide your pin out, take your shackle off and then just release it from the bolt place, simple as that. But that should do it for the review on the Bolt Trailer Coupler Lock for one and seven eights inch, two inch, and two and 5/16ths inch couplers for the Chrysler Key.

Amazing durable products cant steal my trailer
These are the BEST!!! SO easy to put on and off since I don't leave the hitch on my truck all the time. And I LOVE the fact that it molded to my truck key so I do NOT need to carry an additional key with me!
I was very impressed with the quality of the BOLT trailer coupler lock. Unfortunately, the design of the coupler on my trailer will not allow the lock to fit as designed, making it useless for securing my trailer. However, I am very pleased with the other BOLT products bought on the same order will use them regularly.
Wow! Was I surprised when I opened the box. A very heavy duty, well made locking system. I am very impressed. Easy set up. Good instructions. I will recommend this to everyone I know.
This product works very well and you can take the safety chains and cross them and then put the clamp down and lock it in place
I ordered while we were out of town showed up on time. Very easy setup with in 5 minutes I had opened the box and had it installed on my trailer. Looks like a very solid product.
Works well with the trailer. It can be a little difficult to put on, lining up the holes.
Convenient and well built.
Well made, like the one key system.

The Bolt coupler lock is stout, easy to use, and the best Ive had experience with. With Bolt on duty, I know my towed is secure and will remain in place!
