Are you tired of carrying a bulky ring of keys - for your hitch lock and coupler lock, your pickup cover or trailer door, and all the various padlocks securing your equipment? Tired of fumbling for the right key or having to replace a lost key?
BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.
BOLT for Commercial Applications
BOLT is particularly useful in commercial applications. Imagine being able to send a crew without having to sign out multiple keys for a work truck, trailer, hitch pins, and equipment locks. With BOLT, the vehicle key becomes a master key. It opens all those locks and you no longer have the hassle of getting to a work site only to find that you've brought the wrong keys.

I REALLY LIKE THIS LOCKING SYSTEM! THE FIRST ONE WAS SENT WRONG, BUT AFTER CONTACTING THEM, IT WAS REPLACED IMMEDIATLY! EXCELLENT SERVICE! AFTER ALL, PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES. I RECOMMEND THIS SYSTEM TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS!!

Every time I purchase a new vehicle, I get a set of BOLT locks for it. Hitch pins, a couple of locks and any other products I might need. These are great products from a great company. Great customer service. I once put the wrong hitch pin on the wrong vehicle and had to change hitche away from home. Totally my fault. I cut the pin to remove the hitch. Called them to order a new replacement pin and they replaced it for free.

I researched receiver locks and found this model to be the most resilient to removal. There is a video on the web which I'm sure was produced by the manufacturer which shows other locks easily broken off with a piece of pipe. While no lock is 100% this is heavy duty and it keys to your ignition key during the first use. Be sure to order the correct one! I figured the "late model GM" would work as I could not find a link for the "GM center cut" key but the center cut key is on the etrailer website. Thank goodness I tried testing the key BEFORE I locked my hitch in place!!!! A word of caution.. if you order the wrong lock and try using the wrong key you may render the lock useless and not eligible for refund. I have sent my original lock back to etrailer and they will determine if it is eligible for refund. If it isn't, this will now be a $70.00 lock due to additional shipping fees and being a non-returnable item!

I like the product that it takes the key that fits the truck, you always have that key with you. The only problem that I have is that the lock part is to big, once I got it installed to lock in the receiver it covers up the hole where I connect the safety chain on that one side. I now have to loop the chain under the trailer to connect it to the other side of the receiver.

I bought this after reading lots of reviews and I absolutely love it. The fact that your ignition key can unlock it is perfect for those who want to minimize the amount of keys you have. I love the quality and the thick rubber coating seems to want to withstand the harsh weather here in the Pacific NorthWest. I would highly encourage anyone wanting to have less keys and a quality hitch pin lock purchase this. Thanks for a great product and will recommend to everyone.

I never thought much about locking my trailer hitch but since I leave my bike rack unattended at places along my cycling route and they are not cheap, I thought maybe it would be a good idea. This is a really neat answer to this problem as I don't have to carry an extra key and this seems to be very heavy-duty.

The quality of this hitch is second to none. Very happy with the options and ease of use. The machine work is beautiful and worth every penny. Glad to purchase a product like this that was made in the U.S.A!!! After you see how nice this hitch is I suggest you purchase the lock pin also. Very nice that you don't have to carry another key. If you're in your truck you can always unlock it. Really like the idea of the ignition key doing both. And so simple to set up my three year old could do it.

I haven't had it long, but initial impression is great. The rubber seems to seal the lock well against the weather, so hopefully it lasts many years. I love not having the extra key. Super easy to code my key to it.
