The Tailgate Handle with BOLT Lock - Codes to Late Model GM Key # BL5922987 will automatically code to your ignition key of your 2011 Chevy Silverado. It will code to the first key used in the cylinder, so make sure you don't "test it " with another similar key. The lock cylinder will not reset once it is coded to a key, so it will be safe to use with your key only. This will work with 2007-2013 Silverado models and 2007-2014 Silverado HD models as well as other vehicles.
