This one replaces a lost or damaged side and lower strap for your Yakima Little Joe or Super Joe trunk mounted bike rack.It includes the cam buckle, as well as the hooks, so it's a two piece unit. So, you have the hooks on each end, you have the strap that feeds through the buckle set, where you can cinch it or pull it tight, so the cam buckle and the hooks ensure a nice snug fit on the vehicle. I ordered these replacements straps for the Yakima Joe trunk bike rack because over the years the original staps broke or wore out , and we lost some of the end clips in the process. The staps would be better if they had better tightening fittings and the staps were of higher quality so as not to fray and stretch. These replacements will give us enough clips and straps for another ten years. etrailer is excellent (5 star service) in service , fast sipping, price and availibility.
I bought my Yakima bike rack almost four years ago and have been nothing but impressed with it's construction and aftercare. I've had the rubber straps break and found replacements for under $10. When my strap broke I thought it was done, but thanks to eTrailer I was able to find and buy a working replacement for a very reasonable price. Keep in mind all the parts that have broken were due to simple wear and tear. I will definitely buy another Yakima rack if I ever get the chance.
Purchasing these lower straps for my Little Joe bike rack saved me big time, and enables me to tighten the rack to the trunk of my car (the old straps were sundamaged and wouldn't slide to tighten)! Only thing is that did not have the side and bottom labels on it but it does not matter tje work fine
The straps were exactly what I needed and included all hardware to replace the existing straps. I hate disposing of used items so being able to simply replace the straps on my Yakima Little Joe rather than having to send it to the dump and replace it was excellent.
