Hello, neighbors. Steven here, with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a simple replacement knob for your Yakima front loader fork mount bike carrier. Now that bike rack is sold separately here at etrailer.com. It's item number Y02103. And that big red knob in the center of the picture there on that rack, that's what this is.
You're gonna get quantity one. And again, it fits the Yakima front loader bike carrier. Very nicely made. Hard plastic, red color. Very, very nice.

The red knob on my Frontloader stripped and caused my rack to be inoperable. This fit perfectly and was easy to install. Rack is good as new. Be sure to keep the original nuts as this only comes with the red knob and washer.

It is a replacement part... So, it does what it should. Make sure you keep the brass nut that goes on the end of the long bolt, as this replacement knob does not provide one.

- How to Replace the Red Knob for the Yakima FrontLoader Bike CarrierThere shouldn't be another washer on the Replacement Red Knob for Yakima Frontloader Fork Mount Bike Carrier # 8880226. That appears to be part of the internal threads on the red knob itself. To replace this piece you'll just have to replace the brass nut and bolt that hold this to the rack and you'll be all set.
