Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Tru-Ryde 12 inch left-hand self-adjusting electric brake assembly. This self-adjusting driver side electric trailer brake assembly is going to measure, let me line up my ruler here, it's gonna measure 12 inches in diameter and then measuring one of these brake pads here, we're gonna be sitting right at 2 inches wide and this is rated for up to 7,000 pound axles. And this is going to work for 14 1/2, 15, 16, and 16 1/2 inch wheel sizes. And as you can see here, it has a five-bolt mounting flange bolt pattern. Now electric brakes are easier to install and offer more user control than hydraulic brakes. They require only an electric brake controller, which is sold separately, so there's no actuator or hydraulic lines that are necessary.

Self-adjusting brakes do not require periodic manual adjustment like standard brakes. And the durable magnet is thoroughly tested for pull force and conductivity. SAE-rated composite friction material lines the brake shoes and the non-metallic material is chemically bonded to the shoes and the top and bottom edges of the shoes are chamfered for smooth operation.
