Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Thule locking ratchet arm replacement. This is going to replace the locking ratchet arm for your Thule T1 Bike Rack. As you can see in this picture on the screen there, this is going to fit right in place of that original locking arm, so that you can get your bike mounted onto your bike rack. This is going to have the pull out locking cable. It's also going to have the mast adjustment here just by pushing in on that lever.

The lock cord is sold separately. So if you're needing to replace that lock cord you'll have to pick that up separately. And as you can see at our attachment point where it's going to attach to our bike rack, this is just going to be half of that cradle. So you'll need to retain that original other half and the hardware to get this mounted in place. But this is a direct replacement from Thule, so you can trust everything's going to work just like the original.

You're not going to have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. It'll give you that spot there that you can install the hook for attaching your bike securely. So you'll reuse some of the original pieces, but if you are needing just that ratchet arm assembly this is going to be exactly what you need. That's going to complete our look for today.
