Today we're gonna take a quick look at the replacement rear dock glide saddle assembly for Thule dock light kayak carrier. Now if your old kayak carrier got broken, this is gonna be that rear one where you slide your kayak along. A lot of times this can maybe snap off or break off or just get a little bit loose. So this is gonna replace that saddle for you.It's gonna have all the same features as your original Thule dock glide carrier. It will have that felt cover there so we can again slide our kayak along the face of that. We don't have to worry about any scratching or abrasions to our hull.

And it's also gonna have that pivoting design so it can accommodate different widths and sizes and shapes of our boat.It does not come with any replacement hardware to get this attached to your roof racks so you will need to reuse either your fit flip carrier attachment point or any other T track attachment point. Whatever you used originally to get that onto your roof you will need to reuse.It's gonna be made of the same glass reinforced nylon with that stainless steel hardware so we don't have to worry about any UV damage to this, no worries about any rusting out. We'll just be able to replace that single cradle so we can get back to loading up our kayaks and going out onto the water. This is going to be a direct replacement from Thule so it's gonna have all the same dimensions but just for reference our cradle is going to measure about 8" wide, that face of the cradle there. And then it's going to be about 4 3/4" tall.

Overall it'll stand about 5" tall. And our base is going to be about 3 1/2" wide, about 3 1/4.So again this is gonna be a direct replacement from Thule so it is gonna work out well with your Thule dock glide carrier.
