Replacement locking knob for 4 Bike Carrier Hitch Mounted Swinging Bike Rack (51953).by: Teresa 07/02/2022
The Surco spare tire bike rake works well on my Toyota RAV4. I had a problem getting the knob to unlock and submitted a question to etrailer. They followed up immediately and helped me. It turned out I didn't have the key in the exact right position for unlocking. I ordered the replacement bolt before I figured it out. The bolt/knob arrived in a couple days. I decided to keep it as a spare in case it is needed in the future.

Occasionally you'll think the lock is all of the way turned but it hasn't engaged and it appears that the knob is not working; you'll want to try to turn the key just a bit more and also make sure the knob is installed when confirming it works.
