Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Seaflo through-hole drain fitting. This is a plastic piece that is going to install through your transom. You can see we've got a nut on the backside here. After we slide this through our transom hole, we'll be able to tighten that nut down, make sure it's a nice, secure fitting on our transom.
This is going to provide an outlet for your Livewell overflow or an exhaust port for your bilge pump. It is going to give you a nice, secure fitting for your hose to connect to so that water will flow out to the exterior of your boat. Because this is a durable plastic construction, it's going to hold up well against damage from chemicals and saltwater exposure. So, you're not going to have to worry about it rusting or corroding. Obviously, it's going to hold up well and last you a nice long time.You can see it does have a nice finish to it, so it's going to look good on the outside of your boat.
And it is a white color, so it should match well with the exterior of your boat as well. As far as our dimensions go, this is right about two inches in outer diameter. Our inner diameter is right about three quarters of an inch. On the backside here, the piece that's going to slide into our hose, that is also right about three quarters of an inch. As far as our overall length, I'm going to say it's just slightly over three inches.
You can see there, it's about three and an eighth of an inch. But overall, I think this is going to be a great option for you if you're wanting to dress up your drain, have a nice, easy, convenient way to get hooked up, to make sure that that water is flowing out of your boat so that you're not getting waterlogged or anything.
