Hi, it's Evangeline and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack front pole replacement part for your Rhino-Rack awnings right here at etrailer. So it happens. When you go out on adventures, wear and tear happens. Or maybe you didn't pack up your awning properly, or maybe dropped something heavy on top of it, and you need to replace it. When that happens, that's okay because we have the replacement parts for you. This is gonna be the vertical pole replacement, which is this part right here.
If you need to replace something else, like the horizontal pole or the guideline, we also have those here at etrailer.com. Here's another reason why you might need to replace the pole. So, scratches, they're fine. If you dent the pole, though, you lose its telescoping property. So can you see here how you can extend the pole and tighten it back down If the pole is dented, that's not an option anymore.
It cannot extend, it cannot retract. So if that's the case for you, please get a replacement pole, so that you can fully utilize your awning. To replace it, you only need two tools. You need this little hex wrench, and you also need a 10 millimeter wrench. So I highly recommend when you're replacing to just have this packed up as much as you can, or like on the ground, unroll it, so you can get access to the poles.
But, just to show you where everything is I'm gonna replace this part while it's standing. So in front you're gonna have that bolt for the hex wrench. And then in the back you're gonna have a 10 millimeter nut. So you do need to replace or remove that rubber cap first. Once you remove that nut and the washer, you can then push the bolt and other washer out.
And then once that's out, that original pole will be removable. So I'm just gonna move us over to your side and slide the new one in. There's a hole in that hinge, so line it up with that hole on the awning, and then pop the bolt back through. Tighten everything back down. And just like that, you're able to replace the pole on your awning. This was definitely an easier process, compared to when you have to replace the horizontal pole. Make sure you get the right pole, just because the hinges are different from the other ones. You wanna make sure you can still fold it up and pop that right back into your awning when you're ready to store everything after your adventures. And that was a look here at the replacement front vertical pole for your Rhino-Rack awnings, here at etrailer..
