Sand Screws for Soft Ground
These sturdy screws allow you to stake down your Rhino-Rack Batwing, Foxwing, or Sunseeker awning, awning extension, or tagalong tent in sand or other soft ground. The heavy-duty plastic screws won't rust when exposed to salt water, so they're ideal for use at the beach.
Because these screws have a helical shape, they will hold in the ground better than traditional, straight stakes. And the large handles let you easily twist these screws into the ground with one hand. Just brush away the loose top layer of sand and push down on the screw while turning it clockwise.
There are multiple options for securing your tent or awning guy ropes to the sand screw handles. Thread your rope through the hole in the center of the handle, under the hooks on either side, or around the post.

Fits up to 3/16" diameter ropes.Getting the screws into the sand at the right angle so they stay in the ground and keep the awning attached in breezy conditions is a real challenge because the pole of the screw is very flexible and will bend and pull back out of the sand. I hand to find a location where the sand was slightly moist so it would anchor. It refused to stay in sand that was 100% dry. Overall - These worked great for lakefront setup on my Rhino Rack Sunseeker. Would purchase again.
Good on timing
