Video Transcript for Pollak Toggle Switch Rubber Boot Review

Ryan Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out the Pollak rubber cover for toggle switches. These rubber covers are a nice accessory to go with your toggle switch. By putting it on there, it's just gonna help keep it in a little bit better condition, keep it outta the elements. And I feel like that's especially important on, you know, applications that are gonna be outside, like a boat or a camper, for example. So just a small detail that you can, you know, kind of capitalize on to keep everything in better condition.

The way this is gonna work is it's going to thread on to the base of your switch. So this is designed to work with bases that are 15/32s with a 32 thread pitch. So most of the light, medium duty type switches is gonna be, you know, work with and this whole deal from end to end is gonna be about an inch long. So gonna work with the majority of switches out there. And so it really, it's just gonna replace the existing ring on there that's holding it on, just kind of slide into place.

And since it has that nut inside, you know, this will actually lock your switch down and keep it tight. There is also these half boots available as well, if you'd prefer that, where this really just covers up the base and the rest of the switch will be exposed out of it. Honestly, I like the complete coverage, but I could see a use for this, if you happen to have a toggle switch that was, you know, quite a bit longer than this one and this just didn't have the length to actually cover everything up, that's where this one would come into play, 'cause the rest of the switch would go through and at the very least you'd have the base and all those, you know, that opening there completely sealed up. So, that's always an option for you as well. Other than that, you know, not really a whole lot to it.

I'd say the most important thing is to make sure you have the correct base and switch for this to thread onto. And if you do, chances are pretty good, this will work out for you. But that'll finish up our look at of the Pollak rubber switch cover.

  • How To Install LED Light Strips Inside An Enclosed Trailer
The Optronics Flexible LED Light Strip part # UCL90CB would be the best option for adding LED strips to the inside of an enclosed trailer. The strips can be cut to fit you exact needs and they feature a simple two wire design. The wires could then be run to a toggle switch like part # PK34571 which can be mounted outside if the boot part # PK25370 is used and then to the battery wherever that may be. In regards to adding a solar panel, this would really be dependent on how much power you...

  • Toggle Switches To Replace Controls On Husky Brute Electric Tongue Jack
The On-Off Toggle Switch # PK34571 is for the light. You will want the Pollak Toggle Switch Rubber Boot # PK25370 to protect water and dirt from getting into this switch and causing issues in the switch. We currently do not carry any momentary type switches for the jack operation.

  • Installation of SMI Stay in Play Duo on a 2019 GMC Canyon with Vacuum Line at Stoplight Switch
Attaching the DUO part # SM99251 to the relocated vacuum line you have in your 2019 GMC Canyon is perfectly acceptable. I'd recommend going with a stoplight switch kit like part # RM-751000 as this will allow you to know when the system is engaging. If you don't use a kit like this you won't have a positive indication that the system is applying the brakes when it's activated. The switch kit will for sure let you know it's working when it is.

We don't have a waterproof switch, but we do have the Pollak Toggle Switch Rubber Boot -15/32"-32 Thread # PK25370 most people use for these switch applications to combat rain. • Forest River Powerwinch Switch Boot
The Pollak # PK25370 is designed to fit a standard toggle switch which is what appears to be on your winch. If you have access to a digital caliper like # PTW80157, it'll be easy to get that diameter off your existing switch. Unfortunately, RV's and campers aren't like passenger vehicles that have a ready reference that tells you which model uses these parts. If you could reply with the model number...

  • Adding Auxiliary Backup Lights and Bumper Switch.
Yes you can absolutely tie into that 12 Volt power coming from your 7-pole trailer connector. As long as you aren't drawing a bunch of power through it for other uses they are generally rated up to 30 Amps. You will need to supply power to it in two ways if you want it to work by a switch and when you shift into reverse. For this make sure you put your switch on your power wire side instead of the normal ground side and connect the reverse wire in after the switch. This will allow yo...

  • Is Optronics # BUL52CB Back-Up Lamp Submersible
The # BUL52CB lamp you referenced might work for the purpose you describe, but a bracket like part # BK70BB and grommet, part # A70GB would be needed. You would also need the wiring pigtail, part # A45CB. The lamp draws a minimal .275 amps at 12.8 volts. The lamp is submersible, but the contacts at the rear where the pigtail plugs in would be vulnerable to moisture. If you decide to go this route, I would recommend keeping the contacts well coated in dielectric grease, part # 11755 to...
