Hi everyone, Aiden here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to replace this Optronics lens cover for your clearance or side marker lights. It's gonna be a really simple thing to just pop off if it's damaged or broken, and snap the new one on. Let's check it out. So it's important to figure out if you've got the right one match up the oval shape, but also check the depth because there is another lens cover that's very similar to this one, but it's quite a bit thicker in depth. So this one from front to back is just a little under half an inch in depth.
So if the one you have is a lot thicker than that then you know you need a different cover. This one is also going to have a couple of tabs on the corners that we can use to pop this out with maybe a trim panel tool or a flathead screwdriver. Just work around it. Try to find a place where you can get that trim panel tool in there and get the proper leverage on it. There may be a little bit of sealant around it, that's pretty normal.
So just pop that off. You can grab your new one, and it'll just snap on over the top. If you wanted to, you could probably go back through and scrape away some of this excess just to help it fit on there a little bit better. This is the direct replacement for the old one, same acrylic construction, and red in color. So it's gonna go towards the rear of your trailer.
If you've got some amber ones that are out on the front, then you can pick up replacements for those as well. Just again, keep in mind that this is only the lens cover not the light housing underneath. So if you need a replacement for that, you can check our website to find that. But if that whole cover is broken, this is a really easy thing to replace and keep your trailer looking nice and new. Thanks for watching.

Replacement lens allows you to upgrade or replace the lens for your Optronics MCL0028 series clearance or side marker trailer light. Amber lens works with MCL0028RBB.But it’s not a exact fit foe my it as a sunvova 29 r so I had to glue and tape them on But they seem to be the closest thing, because the original ones are no longer made
They are exactly as described and good quality. They were shipped and arrived promptly.
It was the perfect size replacement for our 2009 Itasca Nation IQ back top light.
They are the wrong part. I was told that it would replace the glo brite 122r/122y and it does NOT. This was a mistake on the companies fault. Not mine, yet the company is charging $xx.xx for me to return them!!
Took a little work to locate this part as opposed to the whole lamp. Once that was accomplished the parts came quickly and I'm now compliant as far as DOT is concerned. It's worth keeping a few of these snap in place and unsnap easily. Saves the day.
Exactly what i ordered

This is the direct replacement for MCL0028RBB or other Optronics MCL0028 Series lights. In order to get the best fit, I would measure the lens and try and find the closest match on our lens page: https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Accessories_and_Parts-sf-Trailer_Lights-pt-Light_Lenses-sz-Oval.aspx
