Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this MORryde Tailgate Support Frame for your Jeep Wrangler TJ. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1997 to 2006 Jeep TJ Wrangler models. And on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application.

Now everybody usually wants larger, more aggressive tires on their Jeep, but the factory tailgate isn't up to the task of carrying heavier spares and the heavier spare if it's put on the stock tailgate could cause that tailgate welds to break and the hinges to sag and rattle. This heavy duty tailgate support frame will provide support to carry a nice heavy spare tire. Now, when you do install this it will require the MORryde heavy duty tailgate hinges. We do sell them separately on our website. They're part number MR78MR.

And we list them on this product page as a related product. Just happened to pull those one to show you these are what the hinges would be. And they're heavy duty also to match the frame. Now we do also sell a kit which will include this frame and these hinges and that's part number MR98MR. And again, it's sold separately on our website.

Now this part here will include everything I laid out here on the table. The tailgate plate and the tub reinforcement plate. Now both of those are heavy duty. They are a thick quarter-inch thick steel plate. Just want to zoom in here so I can turn it just to show you they're quarter-inch thick.

So it is very heavy-duty plating. Very heavy. Also includes the roll bar bracket. The offset brackets with the snubber spacers and the hardware for installing. All these parts does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how these install. Now this frame will accommodate factory and aftermarket spare tire carriers. It is compatible with the factory spare tire carrier up to 33 inch size tires. What's nice when this is installed it will retain the factory look of the Jeep and it will work with both factory and aftermarket bumpers. We mentioned very easy installation comes with the included hardware, no drilling required and these parts are made in the USA.
