Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the extended fold-out bunk clamp. This is going to secure your slide-out or fold-out bunk beds for travel. And this is pretty standard equipment on many of your RVs with the slide out or a foldout bunk rooms. You can see this does have the pivoting feature here so that we can get it out of the way when we want to lower our bunks for the night, and then put it back into place to secure those as we're traveling down the road.

It does have a zinc construction, so it's going to resist corrosion, going to be very durable for us.Now, this is an extended arm, so I'm going to give you a measurement from our screw draw point here, the center there, to the center of our mounting bracket, which is going to be that little rivet there. And we're right about three inches, center to center, for that, so you're going to have about three inches to work with for this arm. Our screw draw here is going to be right about two and a half inches. So we'll have two and a half inches of travel, if we want to loosen this or tighten it down, very easy to do with the handle there. Then the last measurement I want to give you is the mounting bracket here.

And that is right about three inches long by just about one inch wide.So, make sure that it's going to work for your application. All the mounting screws that you're going to need are included in the kit, so you can easily get this installed, and it does come with a lifetime warranty. Overall, I think this is going to be a great option for you if you're needing to secure those fold-out bunks. You can see, we do have a little hole here that's going to line up with our extended arm and with our mounting bracket. So if we need to get that secured in place, either with a padlock or a bolt and nut, whatever the case may be, they do have that little bracket hold there for you so that you can secure that in place.
