Hello again, etrailer friends, Steven here. Today, we're looking at a replacement air spring for your Firestone Ride-Rite Kit. Now, this particular air spring is what's considered a double convoluted spring. Again, it is a replacement air spring for your Firestone Ride-Rite Kit. This particular part number is listed on the screen, this is an F6410. Now, this will replace an air spring, again, for that Firestone Ride-Rite Kit.
Again, it's a standard double convoluted. It's an air helper spring, it's gotta help offer maximum load support. At this point, you're probably just replacing one of yours already, so you probably know pretty much there is everything to know about it. But just to kinda go over some things, again, it will operate up to a 100 psi. It's got built in four layers of reinforcement construction on it and it's got a braided wire girdle hoop that's inside of here.
That's gonna create a convoluted shape as you see here. That's gonna increase the burst pressure and it's gonna help that spring. These are environmental friendly. They're coated metal in plates and they're gonna provide serial superior corrosion resistance. This is all machine welded, so everything up top here on that one eighth inch MPT air intake hole, all of that is machine welded so you don't have to worry about any kind of leaks or anything.
These are very time proven. It's got their built-in roller crimps spring steel, and it's gonna keep the rubber airbags secure to the end plates whenever you get everything attached. As you can see, I can pretty easily compress this and obviously whenever it's got that a hundred PSI or whatever you need to set your particular vehicle at, it's not gonna do that. But you do want to keep five pounds of air in this at all time just to help that never bottom out again, there is some safety things built inside of here that you can't see, but there's basically like two little metal nipples that would touch each other to prevent these things from ever puncturing or anything like that. So as far as the height, you get a compressed tie.
If you squeeze it all the way down flat, you can get about two and one eighth inches compressed, 8.3 inches tall. When it's not compressed like it is now, you're gonna get a ride height of about five and a half inches to six and a half inches, and the maximum diameter of this guy is 6.6 inches. Well that's gonna do it for our look at this replacement air spraying for your Firestone Ride-Rite kit. I'm Steven with etrailer.com, have a great day.
