Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement E-coat caliper for Dexter disc brakes for either the left hand or right hand side. Now, this is a replacement caliper, which will fit 3,500 pound Dexter disc brake assemblies and it is a universal configuration, so you can use it on even the left hand or right hand side of the trailer. It is a self-adjusting design, so it allows the caliper to shift, so that it stays centered on the rotor. The piston dimeter . let me see if I can lift the pad out here, if you can see the piston right in there. It is 2-1/4" in diameter.
The caliper itself is a ductile iron construction, prevents flexing to keep braking torque consistent. Has a nice E-coat finish to it to help resist corrosion and if you notice, the brake pads are included. They use the semi-metallic material to resist heat damage and perform well in cold weather. The mounting bolts are also included. And this part is made in the USA.
