Hello, neighbors, I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the replacement safety pins for your Curt Tow Bar with the adjustable-width arms. So you should have a tow bar that looks something like this. This again is just the replacement pins, you're getting quantity, two with this purchase. And folks, these will simply just attach to your tow bar in the brackets that would be mounted to your bumper. So again, you're getting quantity of two safety pins here.
So some people call them linchpins, safety pins. Basically, they're spring loaded. You pop this guy off, and then you can simply pivot this out of the way. And then once you put it back inside, wherever you're pushing it through, you simply push this back over, it'll snap back in place. So again, you're getting two of these.
Now, I always recommend to people, even if you've already got two with your tow bar, always buy an extra set. The last thing you wanna do is if you're on the road, and God forbid, you forget to either put them in or you lose them or something. There's not a lot of places that will probably have the exact size you need and that kind of stuff, so I recommend picking up another set. The overall length of these guys is four inches, while the usable length, so right up here under the head to where the pin's gonna last over is three inches. Now, the pin itself is a 1/2 inch thick pin.

The pins that connect my folding tow bars to the brackets on the towed vehicle base plates are easy to lose. My experience with non OEM alternatives has been very disappointing in heavy use. I am delighted that etrailer stocks the OEM type pins.

I have previously used this bracket set on another vehicle I own and wanted to equip ALL of my vehicles with these brackets - having these brackets installed on vehicles make them a one-person operation to move by towing.
